This guy is too precise in his appearance to know that not only did he watched this video beforehand, but he actually researched every bar.
Nobody hearing this the first time, or any Pete and Bas songs, can catch all the references from the first listen. Is just impossible. Not to mention a non English native.

I know when i first heard Pete and Bas i was shocked! I couldn't belive my ears. I couldn't make sense of if for the whole song and then i listen it 20 times before i got half of the references. Given that i'm from Romania and english is my 2nd language.

This definitely reads as an unintentional compliment xD Bruv it's just being an experienced listener and if you know, you know. Like, I can tell you for sure that AnthonyRay knew that Beavis and Butthead bar from Big L.
Not to say there's stuff that goes noticed without a wheel up. For example: the whole implied Japan scheme, with 'melonpan' (a specific type of japanese sweet bread), into 'donuts in the whip with the candy paint' (a famous movie scene from tokyo drift) to tie into the 'evisu jeans' (japanese brand that was popping in the uk in the 2000s) that had a model with 'buddha's face' on the ass cheek (and also potentially double entendre for butterface). Also Tokyo Drift's most iconic car? 'Mitsubish'. There's other things I could mention too, the pen game on this one goes craaaazy. But suffice it to say, pretty sure AR just has a very experienced ear.

I don’t understand why so many folks seem to think that something is being “exposed” here.
Pete and Bas have said all along that their grandkids help them with lyrics and current slang. That being said, they CLEARLY write their own bars too because a ton of the slang they use is massively outdated and goes back to the 1940’s and 50’s.
Which is only to say that a LOT of young kids today wouldn’t even know what most of that stuff means without looking it up, so they’d hardly use it in their own writing. (I’m 51 and a ton of Pete & Bas’s slang was old when *I* was a kid.)
OF COURSE there are going to be similarities in their voices (observed especially with Dex and Bas) and their vocal patterns . They are *related*.
But to suggest that Nine and Dex needed to masquerade as elderly men when they can write like THIS is reaching a bit too far off the dock.

Facts. Those of us in our 50’s clearly understand Pete and Bas using old school references that almost every young person today wouldn’t know, nothing mysterious about it.
I thought the same way as you a week ago. But there's a video I watched and it proves that the two men are paid actors. I believe boss is actually not spitting his own verses. Neither of them are writing their own verses, but I believe Pete is actually able to rehearse the versus written for him. Nine a nine and Dex put out an ad and hired these two men. The reason they started this group was because Dex would always do a lower and even deeper alter ego voice as kind of a joke. I guess he rapped like an old man when they were just messing around on boring days. I don't think they're really too worried about hiding anything.

Let's get the facts straight. They are the grandsons of Pete and Bas. Nine is 91 shots and Dex is Handsome Dexter. They do not write the lyrics for Pete and Bas. They stated in an interview that Pete and Bas write their own lyrics. The grandsons help them with the lingo and produce their tracks. Too many rumor clowns putting stuff out with no facts. Let them cook and enjoy them instead of hating.
😊Nine is 91shots and Dex is Handsome Dexter. Between them, these guys have almost exclusively produced every Sindhu World track. Pete & Bas, The Northern Boys, PKJ and Norm’s solo tracks, and Uncle Bal too. 91shots has produced the beats for every single Norman Pain track to date. They definitely have a massive hand in the project, whether they are writing and training the old boys with their lyrics or voicing it themselves, it’s genius.

By this point it is pretty sure that the Pete & Bas verses are a collaborative effort with lots of old school references from the old boys and these fellas help with the structure, but I don't even care. P&B still have to perform those lyrics and we all know how fire those fellas are flow wise.

I don't just them on live performances, they clearly use a backing track. They can't be expected to sing live like the do in the studio. Pete's voice is unique, it's his real voice. I believe bas is using his real voice too.
