Nice work Meredith. I know it’s not easy for LB to interact with all of us. But he has sure come along way in what time I’ve been watching your channel. You two make a great couple. He is a very Blessed Man to have you in his life. And I’m sure you feel the same way. You two are like the salt of the earth. Great folks. Thanks again for sharing your lifestyle with us. Good video again. L B must be a real southern gentleman. I have noticed he never has a 2-3 day old beard and his hair is always trimmed and neat. A good example to his son. I mean only respect when I say he is a bit old school, that is a good thing.

Good morning, Meredith. Sad to see the silage gone but it did last a lot longer we all thought. The "wiring" of the field takes a lot of work and Lawrence is sure a hard worker. I love that Lawrence is talking more and we see what a wise and thoughtful man that he is. I loved the two bananas and, of course, Bonnie a star of the show. A wonderful family video. Thank you. - Dean from Minnesota

Your energy, Southern Accent, smiles and view on the "Daily" always cracks me up and reminds me of childhood on Grandma's Farm and other Relatives we had in Eastern Colorado back then. Our places that butcher for us around here some the cattle have to be inspected before they can be killed and some they have to keep the bottom jaw to make sure they are not to old. I don't know all the ins and outs of it but the last batch I took in were about 15 months old and averaged 1350 on the hoof. I pour the grains and sweet feed to them along with the best hay I can find around here. Bug spray, a dry clean barn to rest in when hot or bad weather and a small pasture for them to frolic and graze if they want. Their treated better than I've have ever been. Lol

Have you guys ever tried oats hay. Cattle love it and you can plant in the spring. We start our hay fields with oats as a companion crop. We cut the oats beginning of dough stage. Each round bales will have approximately a bushel of oats in them. The cows eat the bales completely.

Interesting for you and LB to share your operation with us. it's been a very long time since I was involved with cattle. At that time, here in Alabama, cattle would be feed off on forage etc. then shipped out to the mid west to the slaughter houses where they would feed them out on grain (corn) until slaughter. Most don't realize how challenging it can be farming cattle, swine etc. Kudos to you and LB for you efforts to supply prime beef to your customers. There is nothing like farm raised beef. To Austyn: Vienna sausage, potato chips and block cheese for lunch, nothin' like it!! 👌👍😁

G'day from Northern Australia. I also pan fry my steak in butter. Once they're done and still in the pan hot and resting I sprinkle them with salt and a good healthy squeeze of lemon juice along with those buttery pan juices. Try it! It's as God intended steak to be eaten. The flavor is mind blowing and it REALLY brings out the richness of the beef.

My version of beef farming is sitting on my bed (I'm mostly bed bound) and watching the 2 bulls on the farm behind me. Those were the two of about 50 head they could not get loaded last fall. So they cuddled with each other and the donkey through the winter and it was fun watching them. Somebody took the donkey the other day so don't know how long I'll have my "pets" to watch. I will be sad when they are gone! I live about an hour due west of you...or if I had a paramotor, I could be there in ten minutes! New sub enjoying your channel :)

When you plant hay, RIP ground late winter , roundup existing foliage, work ground minimally to preserve moisture. Smooth out field with narrow cause that hay will be there 10 yrs. Pray for rain. Plant early June.
Swath hay when 20% blooming. You should get 5 cuttings.

LB always reminds me of Wilford Brimley. He was always great to watch too. Sad to hear he recently left us.

I like hearing I’m speak and talk about the farm. Reminds me of my great grandpa that raised cattle.

We breed our heifers at 2 also, biggest challenge is getting them to breed back at 3. Thanks for sharing your family and life with all of us. God bless.

I'm just amazed at how good the those steaks look. Can't find cuts like that in the grocery store. With cuts that good just a little bit of salt, fresh ground black pepper and fresh green onion. Now that would be some good eating :) Makes my mouth water. Cheers to the tin man he knows how to raise cows!

Just wanted to say , i noticed your oven has no foil , my self i lift up the bottom heating element and place a piece of foil under it and cover oven bottom. Less clean up down the road.

47,000 subscribers?! I'd say you've done quite nicely for yourselves. Bet you never suspected so many people would be interested in your little piece of Virginia. You've even got Lawrence talking . . . . . . sort of.
Well done young lady! Well done indeed!!

Hey Meredith, great video,as always. You always have great content, showing the daily life of farming.I had an idea, that I'm sure y'all probably have thought of already, but I'll share it anyhow.A friend of mines, father, traded his 4440 and bought a new JD 6110,and they love it.They say that it out pulls the 4440.What I was thinking is,sell your 4440,outright,because there is a good market of people looking to buy the old 40 series, because they are great old tractors, and starting to become good collectibles. Then look for a good, low hour 6110-6140 R or M series, with mfwd and loader to replace the 4440 with, then you can get a mfwd tractor to use.I know money is always an issue, but I believe the market is right,to help yall out.Anyhow, just an idea.Keep up the good work.P.S.,I also meant to say that the newer tractors burn less fuel,so your savings could help toward your purchase, plus I know that y'all know about the right off.I really would like to see y'all get one,but you are the ones that have to make that decision, and if you dont, then maybe one day.
