Just a point of clarification from an ICU nurse, we can and often do administer pills and capsules to comatose patients. It's safer for a patient than administering medications I.V. since every single I.V. access increases the risk of introducing an infection directly into the blood stream. Her ET tube in that scene is even real close to the actual thing. Not bad. You should criticize that the machine at the beginning started to go out and the kid immediately keeled over, because that's some BS.
Also I personally sliced through two tendons when I was a kid opening a can of cat food. 🤣

@@Angela.Perkins Hello, another icu nurse here. The way we give pills/tablets is by inserting a tube through their nose or their mouth that goes straight into their stomach. With that, the tablets are crushed, pills are opened and given through said tube with a syringe mixed in water. Patients that have dysphagia or trouble swallowing for extended periods of time often get a percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy tube placed. The difference with the latter, is that it’s surgically placed through an incision on the stomach, more ideal for long term care or chronically ill. The real sin in this scene, is that they left a bottle of pills at the bedside, that’s a big no no in the hospital setting lol

1:40 Replacing a fuse with any piece of metal including a spring from a pen is completely viable way to make the thing work. Of course, whatever shorted the fuse will still be there so it may also start a fire, but if it was some fluke then it will work just fine
But of course, this isn't some genius move, it's just basic practical knowledge that was used to be taught to everyone

@@TaylorMadeTheater I knew it when I was his age because it was mentioned by grownups. In UK in particular there are individual fuses in most power cords so children could easily know about fuses and ways of dealing with them just by having a cord to stop working once

Okay, he added 2 "morbin'" jokes between sins, and he changed the wording of 2 sins to have a joke related to the phrase "this is the movie ever." I played both videos side by side synced up and that's ALL they did. Well, there's also 2 points where the scene gets cut short by like 0.2 seconds which throws off the sync of the videos, but nothing is added or subtracted there. Just a slightly faster cut.

The part where Michael is getting his morbiass kicked and Saul Goodman came out of the Doctor Strange portal to help, and then said "It's Saulin' time" and Sauled all over Milo was truly and unequivocally the greatest scene in cinema history. And the post credit scene where Gus Fring is alive and responsible for Vulture getting transported to the Mobiusverse was mind blowing. This is truly one of the films of all time.

The initial attempt at humor was to misquote Morbius with a line that echoes the Thing's catchphrase "It's Clobberin' time!" but in stead say "It's Morbin' time!" Now the "joke" is to misattribute quotes that echo other franchises iconic phrases. I think the mockery is supposed to to reflect how there is no iconic catchphrase made by Morbius and to mock the movie as completely forgettable, needing catchphrases from other franchises just to be interesting.

The whole vulture retcon honestly pissed me off. It was such a good character that had a somewhat moral balancing with Spider-Man. And then he resolves to “it must be because of Spider-Man” and that’s his reasoning for wanting to team up against him. Like no mention of his family which is why he wanted to steal the alien and stark tech in the first place
That part perfectly summarized what I see every single time they force a different hero into any MCU movie.

My most hated part of the movie was that Milo had no build up to being bad. The blood didn’t make him bade, Mr. Morb is fine after 8 bodies. Sure he had some bad guys in his apartment in the beginning, but other than that there’s no build up to him going nuts. It’s just injected and then boom, instant villain. They literally forced a villain into being with no reason other than “We need his best friend to turn on him for a “movie” to happen”
I mean he beat a kid to pulp when he was bullied, so it's not like there was no build up at all. But I think thats about it

That's my review for this entire movie.
1:32 Back around 1990ish our Commodore Amiga 500 blew a fuse so often that we replaced the fuse with tinfoil twisted into a kind of string shape and it worked just fine. Granted it wasn't a life support machine (or whatever the thing in this movie is) but a ballpoint pen spring in place of a fuse sounds like it would work and a supersmart kid could quite easily know that.
Well..anyone who ever heard how such a fuse works could replace it with anything that´s conductive..

A classic example is a penny in a household fuse box. Very easy and common and dangerous. Thank God we moved on to resettable circuit breakers, fuses were bloody annoying.
Lots of not very smart kids would know that and be able to replace it.
The stupid was the person saying how he fixed it when the professionals couldn't. He didn't, he bypassed a safety device that was put there very intentionally.
The engineers were just stupid to not have an alarm or backup circuits or wherever.

My only experience with trying to watch Morbius was watching it with a group on a projector in a bright room. The screen was blacker than The Long Night episode and we all gave up trying to listen to this movie
You probably could replace a fuse with a spring. All a fuse is is a wire that burns up if it gets up past a certain current so that the rest of the machine doesn't. Springs are just coiled wire. You shouldnt because a. that spring doesnt have the nice insulation that fuses typically do so its a high shock risk and b. that spring is not going to burn up and you're now putting the rest of the very expensive machine at risk but I suppose it would work in a pinch.
The machine had to of popped a fuse for a reason if there wasn't a power surge. In the real world, more than likely the fuse would blow again or in this case the component that is shorting would go up in smoke due to installing a spring.
@@Discretesignals Most likely. Its not a good idea if you want the machine working long term for sure. Most generous interpretation, it could have just been a fluke power surge and if thats the case and the situation that caused the fuse to blow isnt there anymore a spring would do the job.

My biggest gripe was that Morbius wasn't allowed to be bad. I almost missed his accented speech pattern. He should have been more tortured about his condition. Where was the horror? I really wanted this to be scarier. He had the look down.
In the comics, both Morbius and Werewolf By Night suffered a little from the "open mouth showing fangs so you know they're evil monsters" trope. You hardly saw either one with their mouth shut, no matter what the setting - always showing off those fangs.

If you're talking about who killed how many, keep in mind that milo is running unchecked and it's only people we KNOW about via admission and the news that we hear. We can see how often Morbius needs blood and going by that logic we can figure out there are many more victims from Milo that weren't even noticed.

6:30 it is actually not uncommon to give pills through tubes. If one of the tubes she's hooked up to is an orogastric tube they could give medications to her without IV
Somehow I missed this the first time, but based on something I’m pretty sure I heard (and with literally no research to confirm the statement to follow) if a cat does end up escaping the house you are supposed to leave it’s litter box out. Supposedly, they can smell their litter from a ways off. Again I totally didn’t fact check this at all

Morbius...um, it was the movie of all time. I must say though, I much rather liked Jared Letos early work. His new movie was a little too on the nose for me with his new wave sense of humor for my taste. But when Requiem for a dream came out came out in 2000, I think he really came into his own, commercially and artistically. The whole film has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the film a big boost. He's been compared to the best of film actors, but I think Morbius has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.
But it's hip to be Morb.

It just reminds me of blade, spiderman, morbius and black cat cross over... now those were the days, but what confuses me the most is, the fact that they have VAMPIRES in that universe that didn't really accept morbius as a vampire, and unfortunately, I'm salty, the morbius I grew up wasn't drinking blood, nor using his teeth for that.
To be fair to the fuse to spring swap... I grew up poor and had a Donkey Kong game that needed 4 C batteries and when they died and I could scrap together 2, I would use a screw as a bridge to carry the current for the one C to run on the one side and a battery and screw to run the other and that worked.
The fuse is only to stop the machine from getting an over flow of power and ruining the electrical components... as a temporary fix it should work fine. 🙂
