  • I made seven knives and in this video I pick which steel, handle material and knife design is my favorite so far.
Handle materials: ironwood, Argentine lignum vitae, buloke wood, cross cut micarta and terotuf.
    Steels: Vanadis 4 extra, K390, 80crv2, CPM 3V, Magnacut and LC200N.

Thank you, I will. Until I don’t feel like it anymore, which doesn’t seem like anytime soon.

Thanks for showing us the knives you made this year. Appreciate your reasons for tge choice of steels & some design features. I do like the look of the Persian style with the red handle. I have 2 knives in K390 by Spyderco. So far I'm very happy with them. Course they don't see near the use I imagine yours do.

Thank you too, I always appreciate your input. I have a spyderco in K390 also but I didn’t appreciate the steel until I chopped with it in a big knife. It may not be as tough, on paper, as other knives I made but I’ve used it to the extremes I normally would and it’s held up better than the rest. Beautiful steel.
