- For generations, men of color - especially African-American men - have struggled with finding a razor they can shave with and not suffer from painful razor bumps and ingrown hairs. Now they can. Meet Bevel, the first razor designed specifically for black men. Tristan Walker, CEO of Walker & Co. discusses the new product.
If a barber doesn't clean his clippers you're going to the wrong barber...
MOST barbers don’t clean their Clippers, and if the so-called do, they don’t clean them good or correctly!
@@allaboutcars4835 Any good barber does.
@@christopherjames9843 well of course duh🤷🏾♂️!
Especially being that if they don’t clean their clippers, that instantly makes them bad barbers, no matter how good their cuts look.
Everytime I see a black man who is clean shaven, I think to myself they know the key to success too.
madcoki I wish that more black men were clean-shaven.
Yeah if you can grow a beard only thing I can get is a forever 5 shadow
Zechariah Cameron it’s hard to even enjoy shaving as a black man because our skin so prone to breaking out 😪
@@mnwmbugua that's true same goes for me although I feel more comfortable clean shaving more than having facial hair tbh
Click bait...
Maybe actually tell us what the break through is and show us the product instead of ranting about unsanitary barbers and “ethnic isles.”
WTF is the break through?
right...
+Erichev I've tried the bevel shaver, and it's not a breakthrough.
+paris veale really? i was wondering if it works. im rubbing my razor bumps on my chin now, tryna find a solution
I said the same thing. I've been using a completely stainless steel Feather Safety Razor and Feather Blades with Art of Shaving products for years. My grandad used a DE safety razor. Nothing is revolutionary here expect that a black man owns the company, and truth be told, that's the only reason I'll make the switch BUT the quality has to be amazing. I need a stainless steel razor not brass weighted and a thick shaving cream.
All I heard was a guy trying to pretend his product is catered towards black people because somehow a Texturizer (*for your head, not your face*) creates a second class experience. He didn't explain anything about his lame product, he's just using progressive whoa is me politics to expand his brand. But...
It's been 14 years I've been living with facial hair now. Razor bumps run really bad in my family so bad that the women actually got laser surgery for some of them. I feel I get razor bumps worse than most black men, but now I can say, I finally found my magic bullet. Simply brushing the hair with the grain like you're trying to get waves on your head. Yes, you literally have to train your facial hair to grow straight instead of curl back into the skin even when the hair is as low as a stubble amount. Just a simple brotha told me to do this one day, and I can't believe it was that simple. It's been about a month now and the bumps have been reduced by at least 70 percent for me. That's a lot, and now the discoloration of my face is going away. I also use Kiti Kiti and Tend skin, and aftershave after my hair liners, but that just secondary use that helps slight inflammation. You can uses a regular hair brush, but I use a thick scrubber with soft bristles like what you'd use as a back scrubber. Try it consistently, and I'm sure you'll have reduced razor bumps. It's that simple.

Seeing videos like this is truly sad. DE safety razors have been saving the faces of black men for decades. These are not a new invention. All you need is a quality shave soap a DE safety razor or straight razor, and a quality blade. Please men, stop using chemicals, cartridge razors, and electric shaver. It's almost DE wet shaving is made for black men, it's wonderful. Get yourself a Rockwell 6C and start DE wet shaving.
I love my Rockwell
which plate is the best ? Thank
Awesome video! Thank you for your doing something about these issues we have seen! Blessings to you!
Magic Shave is awesome. They make a better fragrance now.
I’m going to try something new. Lectric Shave first, Braun electric shaver second, third with Poraso after. Hit that follow.
What works for you
What new product? DE razors have been around for decades.
Why was he in such dark lighting,... If his product work so well wouldn't you be in the best lighting to reflect the quality of your product? 🤔
I need more info
one bump away ends all
The same made in China razor as sold by the Bombay Shaving Company.
Please help me my son is 23 years old and we live in France but he has some things coming out of his hair when he shaved. Pls help me
I thinks some barbers got their feelings hurt 😆.
But does it work though, where the testimonies where the before and after's
Going to the barber is not disgusting I don't know why people have such an issue with hair. Unless you're getting someone's pubes or armpit hair on you I don't want to hear about how hair is disgusting.
So stop watching this video isn’t even for you.
But the top lip got scruff all over it. If you selling a clean shave, shouldn’t you have a clean shave? Just saying.
What a con to black people the safety razor has been around for years 😳 marketing rubbish. Anyway interesting video
I am white why r I different
Your not different. Lots of men have the same shaving issues.
So blacks r different
Yes, actually. African American hair does tend to be thicker and more coiled than that of other races. But race aside, DE razors have been around for decades.
What dirty packaging? And what dirty clippers? Bro is a sell-out. Just sell your product. Don't tear down someone else.
I mean, WE had "Bump Fighter", but the company went out of business a few years ago!
I remember bc, I used to purchase those razors religiously!
There's Bump Patrol, not sure if it is as effective but I know people that like it
I wonder why it went out of business? Well I bought it and it didn’t work for me
you can't get bumps unless you don't prep your face right and cool it off right.
Juan Castellanos Jr ^ you still can get them
