- Nonviolence International organized a 60 minute update from international volunteers who are going on the Freedom Flotilla to Gaza to provide humanitarian aid and break the illegal and immoral siege by Israel. Speakers (time stamps) included Ann Wright (7:00), Dr. John Reuwer (13:20), ), Huwaida Arraf (16:40), Lisa Fithian (23:00), Wynd Kaufmyn (29:56), Cassandra Nixon (36:30) and Shabnam Mayet (38:25). 183 people from around the world attended the meeting hosted by Palestinians Mubarak Awad and Sami Awad. Each speaker was succinct and exceptional in their short reports.

We need to dismantle the entire system! We must vote for West or Stein - either would begin the process. How do we coalesce on one? I say West but he will not be on enough ballots? so perhaps Stein? We saw the fruits of non-violence training in the 2018-19 great march of return protests. Knee caps being sniped.
The nonviolent training was not responsible for the knee caps and murders. It was the Israeli military. The nonviolent protests were among the most courageous in world history with people returning repeatedly in the face of death and/or grevious injury. NV training does not guarantee that the adversary will refrain from violence as in that case.

The last three Freedom Flotillas were disasters. Put bluntly, I don't have much faith in this current operation, no matter how noble its goal.
Do you have a better idea on how to end the blockade and provide humanitarian relief? If so, please go and do it.
One must keep trying and this time will likely work. The only reason we have the current injustice is cause the Israelis never stop trying even though they have no strategy they can admit to (hence the genocide charges cause the globe can see what’s going on after all thi time, hence the past gives this flotilla a chance of success
@@sonsilver946 Even if storming the blockade is the right strategy, Freedom Flotilla are not a safe horse to back. I brought up my misgivings w/ this specific group in a previous comment, and the channel deleted it, but it's all on Wikipedia for anyone to read. For Gaza's and the activists' sake though, hope I'm proven wrong.
Much better visibility on the world stage this time. Everybody knows there's a g-side going on.
