    Up until 5 weeks ago. I had never heard of bikepacking. Watched a couple of videos went and bought all the gear. Then rode from Thetford to holme-next-the-sea and back along the pedders way.
    Now I'm totally hooked into bikepacking. Such an amazing feeling.

    Really enjoyable vid.
    One thing - I think the elevation on your day by day route summary should read metres and not feet ! Total for the route should be about 12000 feet.

    Great video mate! I'm looking to do this trip in the next month or two. Did you leave your van at the campsite whilst you were away and just trained it back? Was it Panpwnton Farm also? Struggling to find anywhere to leave my van for the three days!

    • @FindingTrails
      @FindingTrails  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks man. Yeah that's the campsite, we asked to leave the vans there for a small fee, which wasn't any problem.

    Looks like a great ride... think it's doable on a gravel bike? Or too off road?

    • @FindingTrails
      @FindingTrails  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Might be tough going in some sections but still good fun I reckon!

    • @thewhitezulu3283
      @thewhitezulu3283 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Easily doable on a gravel bike 👍🏼

    • @jeremyatkinson4976

      It's perfectly doable, just less comfortable.

    See you avoided all the forestry of the Cwm Ystwyth and surrounding area. You missed the best trails though, down to Dovey Junction, that's the cherry. After Ffair Rhos you cut much of the route and substituted roads.

    • @FindingTrails
      @FindingTrails  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We may just have to go back and check them out!! Thanks for the suggestion:)

      @@FindingTrails Allow 4 days. It was designed as a 3 day B&B route. I've seen no evidence it has been done in two by Bike Packer groups. Smoke and mirrors.........

  • @thorley1969
    @thorley1969 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I notice most people do the route east to west. How hard do you reckon west to east would be? Thinking of incorporating it onto a longer ride.

    • @FindingTrails
      @FindingTrails  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it would be tough going man. Do-able though.

    • @jeremyatkinson4976
      @jeremyatkinson4976 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It was designed East West, the climbs are easier that way, some are not doable the other.
