@@michael_caz_nyc yes, there is a slight difference in length between the square and saw (noticeable in the -1 oct) so when you use both at the same time with the sine wave there is a slow phaze eq sweep making some settings unstable/unusable due to the change in volume/bottom end over about 1 min or so, making it unusable for recording, which is a shame, as this is where some of the really massive sounds could be found , i know there may be phaze drift in analogue synths ( unless the osc are kept in tune digitally like the juno 60/waldorf pulse) but as this is digital, However there are MANY other noises/sounds you can get out of it , it just reduces some of the options a bit
Thank you for making an actual bass sound come out of this pedal and for playing your instrument so beautifully. It is refreshing after all the crazy appegiator type crap that people demo this pedal with. Bass is generally not a solo act. I was looking for a pedal that does this exact kind of thing. I knew that technology would one day make it possible and it was close (I am also an electrical engineer). I am definitely getting one now. I will try to cop the synth bass sound on 24 carat by Bruno Mars and also Greg Phillinganes on Michael Jackson, Patti Austen etc, as well as mini Moog. Can’t wait.
thank you very much Gavin. my "mandate" before starting to make the C4 videos was to mostly show settings which i thought would be useable reinforcement in a song , im glad you like it . check out my moog type bass sound on my kraftwerk video
I think thats a bit unfair, I've heard plenty of octaver type effects that show off its usefulness, you should be able to simulate pretty much any synth bass with this thing
@@gstephenson9442 I own the C4 pedal and play bass and have owned/played live and programmed Moog and Korg monophonic synths. I have spent time with the editor software for the C4. You can get a few decent sounds. I have even published my own sounds in the user section. Overall, I stand by by generalization of the C4, most of what you get out of it would never end up on any major recording. its a fun pedal, but won't be sell my Moog any time soon. C4 not even close. IMHO

tough one... very tough one . i only have the C4 . it is brilliant , i hope to get both at some point, but still discovering many new sounds on the C4 . The spectrum filter does sound like a different beast listening to the clips on youtube. I guess it depends on what you are after. The C4 can go quite radical with the harmoniser/step sequence etc sorry i could not be of more help mate. .... get both....?
Can you connect the expression pedal directly to the C4 or via a midi hub? I am seriously considering buying a C4 and you are really helping me out here!
@@bunky78 yes, via a hub. i use the disaster area DMC micro it also lets you access all 128 of the saved presets in the pedal and can save them in a performance list so you jump to different settings without scrolling . And it is tiny

Are you using a wah or expression pedal with the C4?
im using an expression pedal to create the fast vibrato , it is controlling the depth of the voice detune
