What a pity that Hou Yifan quit chess. She used to have an 2704 elo rating in blitz and achieved such great results in tournaments with the best men, such as the Grand Prix Moscow 2017 and Biel Grandmaster 2014. After Judit Polgar, she was basically the only woman who could play at such a high level.
@@benjaminmagnum4062 Oh yes, that's true. Maybe Maya Chiburdanitze and Nona Gaprindashvili too? Anyway, it's not very common among women. Among those currently playing, Ju Wenjun and Alexandra Goryachkina sometimes play very good tournaments against men, but it is not that regular.

Yifan usually had a 150 elo rating advantage over her challenger and won every match by a huge margin. This is an even bigger difference than Magnus's. She also preferred to play with the best men, where she had competition and she did differently, sometimes great and sometimes worse, than only with women and winning everything there. They both also had complaints against FIDE regarding the change of the championship format, which were not listened to. And again, perhaps these comments should have been considered, but I don't know if it's entirely good for the world champions to decide on what conditions their titles should be defended.

FIDE is doing an incredibly bad job. The best players in both men and women's chess don't want to play in their championships.
