LOVE Lee Grant. My 2 all time favorite performances have to be Shampoo and The Landlord.Other favorites include Ransom for a Dead Man with Peter Falk, Detective Story and a starring role in a 1974 film with James Coburn. I don't remember the name of the movie, but she was sensational in that film. Definitely one of my favorite movie stars. Also love her in The Balcony with Shelley Winters.
Thanks for posting this. Lee Grant is a powerhouse. She is the star of the 2nd Columbo episode: Ransom For A Dead Man. Her book, "I Said Yes To Everything" is well written. A movie I always enjoy seeing is "I Ought To Be In Pictures" starring her daughter Dinah Manoff, whose voice is a lot like her mother's.
I LOVE Lee Grant to death in both The Landlord and Shampoo. She was my number 1 favorite in both movies. The Intercept Project with James Coburn is my other favorite Lee Grant film. In all 3 movies she really stands out.
Such amazing performances in Valley Of The Dolls, Detective Story, In The Heat Of The Night, Shampoo, and Voyage Of The Damned- just to name some of my favorites!! I bet she would have won the Oscar for Voyage if not for Shamoo.
"Detective Story" not "THE Detective Story" as said twice.... I expect more from TCM. But Lee Grant is one of the cinema's (and TV's) all-time greatest!
Grant confessed to having a face lift after she was off the black list so she would look younger and make up for the lost years. I don't know if she had any additional work since then, or that face lift made her face age unnatrually.
They have facelifts to LOOK YOUNGER.Unfortunately some look dreadful looking, something out of a horror movie. Many look much better before having a facelift.Having a facelift instead of looking younger they look old.
She is underrated, one of the best actresses in my opinion, also very pretty. Especially around her 40’s she is prettiest.
Superb tribute to a great actress and a brilliant woman. Bravo!

The correct version was shown at the Film festival and all official TCM events and media.

No mention of her role in Valley of the Dolls?
3:27 Faye Dunaway
Why do otherwise attractive women agree to have such horrible plastic surgery???

Considering she's 95... She looks damn good
