Brilllllliant voyage - Mark has an exciting new career as a passage Cinematographer/Captian! More subtitles would help as it's difficult to understand/decipher important information. Thank you for sharing and congratulations on completing your Great Circle ⛵️
Really nice sailing to watch when the boat is covered for coming winter. I would be interesting to hear about changes you are seeking when switching from a great boat to a new one?
Very nice. I love to see the motions of the boat, very gentle. I wonder though what is your experience with pitching as the bows are as sleek as my Tornado’s.
@@hansh8071 hey Hans you mean downwind or upwind. Upwind might have been just lazy downwind we are used to stick them just a little bit in to catch floating stuff first as there are no skegs.
@@CatGreatcircle i am just curious about what i can see in your vid, i get the downwind part and protecting props and rudders. but how much do you need to use them for instance on a broad reach, grtz
Is that the standard set up for winches, foresails and wheel on the 52 or just new boat and not tuned? Seems a bit short for such a boat and outremers experience? Or just watched too many of Marc’s rapid sail changes on GC 😂
I expect that the position of the winches themselves can’t be changed but that the deck layout in terms of routing of the lines can be changed. I’ve seen different setups on different 52’s
Nice job with the sailing and the video Mark! I’m curious how you would compare the 52 with your 55 and how that might inform your decisions on your next boat?
@@BoxdHound Mark, music can be great, but less can be more. There is nothing wrong with the sound of just the wind, waves, and sails. The voiceover then takes on its own importance. I talk with the experience of making the same mistake.
@rodsimmons3101 Marijke doesn’t like the camel driver either but I kind of like it and it fits nice with Morocco 🇲🇦. And don’t underestimate how difficult it is to get decent audio footage in plenty of wind and waves. I know all bad excuses, I just like the music under the images and we don’t earn a single euro with the channel so I kind of like to make the videos the way I like 😇
That vessel can move ! Looks like a great layout as wll
Terrific video. And I thought I was going to have to wait until the new boat was finished. The 52 looks great.
Good job Mark Hihihi la belle vie 😉

I just though "I wouldn't sit there". Then you said it. The furler line not reaching a winch seems like a very bad idea.

Nice music 😁
Great vid. Whaaaaaaaaaat you are building a 64????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It certainly looks like they’re gonna start building her in September 😎

Of course the bigger the boat the more motion comfort but the 52 felt really comfortable even in annoying cross waves
Looks amazing, question: is it necessary to sail with both daggerboards down in these conditions? Grtz

On a broad reach you don’t need them at all for sailing
Ok, thanks
😀😀👍👍❤❤

Mooi fillempie Marc! Wie is die derde stem toch die er steeds tussen komt?
Less annoying music would give way to the natural sounds of sailing.
There's so much awesome royalty-free music out there now to match with the vibe. Hope you have the chance to look into it sometime, Mark.

@@CatGreatcircle I still love the channel.
