    Learn why we believe in the testosterone injections over testosterone pellets or creams. The injections are a superior platform due to a lack of complications and a guarantee of exact delivery of testosterone.

    I've had to stop therapy on several occasions. When I restart, to get to level almost immediately, I take the first three shots at half normal interval. So for a 7 day interval I take the first on day one, the second on day 3 and the third on day 8 then resume and take the fourth on day 15 and so on. Do the half life value on a chart and you'll see that this works because of the timing. I've done the shots on 3 and 5 day intervals but didn't notice the difference and it requires more of my time than just every week. My dose is about 140mg per week.

    the pellets have been great for me....steady flow of test. Test was 325 in Jan....got the pellets and checked levels every other month. Levels were Mar 650, May 729, late June 575, late July down to 488. Did another round and pretty same results....my levels average around 600-700 these days. Never had any spike (nothing close to 1000+)

    @stanleybrown1151 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I am just learning about this myself. I have low t (253) You have a great presentation and great information but I have to disagree with you on one things. When you were talking about the frequency of the shots. Unless I misunderstood you, you said having a shot once a week is the best and not every 3 days. And the reason would be that you could fall below your line? But if you are taking a shot once and week and you are the same distance from your bottom line you would drop below it also. If you stay middle to top of your range, a shot every 3 days would be the best because of how close your dips would be to your peaks. Of course, I am no Medical Doctor. You have way more knowledge on this than I but common sense is still common sense. Correct?

    I started with androgen and did raise my test to 300 plus and that was it.
    Injections on which I am still works best to raise it but sucks due to fact you have to inject weekly and after so much time I decided to go with roll on compounding pharmacy test cream.
    It worked as good as injectable and works more with your bodies natural clock rather than having one big long spike and drop with injectable.
    Only reason I stopped is due to increase in prescription cost.

    • @Lowtnation
      @Lowtnation  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, from a physiologic perspective, the injectables are grossly superior in our opinion. Two small shots a week, via an insulin needle, gives an incredibly steady blood level throughout the week/ month.

    Love the content but a couple slight disagreements with your chart. If you were injecting every 14 days (which I agree with your recommendation NOT to do) the dose would be double what the weekly dose would be so your peaks would be higher… there would be significant fluctuations so that’s more the issue than the time it takes to reach “steady state.” I also think injecting twice a week would have less issues with staying in range since there is less fluctuation as well. Your thought is it may be harder to stay in optimal range but i think it would be easier as your total peak to trough would be around 25% compared to 50% once you settle in on the correct total weekly dose.

    In the old days I took test as you describe when I was doing roids with legal prescription. Today I am 63 and was recently measured with very low T and adrenal fatigue which I know is from PTSD. Here is my problem. I have a lady doc. I dont feel like they are the best choice for T plans. She has me on super low dose of T where I take .15 of a mL twice a week using a half inch 27 gauge. It will inject ok but I can not imagine putting a larger dose so shallow. Plus the dose is low. The theory is low dose will keep me from seeing my estrogen level climbing and keep me from needing HcG. I am only in now for two weeks. Reality is, I want to try to gain back muscle mass I lost as I got older. I am six feet and was 225 all muscle. Now I am 210 and soft. The T is helping but I dont see these low doses doing much. The vial provides 200 mg/mL. So I am taking .15 of a mL twice a week with no estrogen blocker and no HcG. I have some unconstituted HcG I have not mixed which is about five years old. Dont know it it is safe to use this HcG if I add the water. I feel my dose of T is too small. And Idaho is hinky in their laws where docs get nervous if someone actually beefs up from T. They dont mind bringing you to normal levels but they dont want to exceed that. Any thoughts regard my dose level. and the theory of low dose to avoid other substance use?

I had procedure done December 11th now I wish I kept doing the injections like before my first procedure it was much better but my UROLOGIST said my level's were to low and injection would not help.. I wish I had seen this first you summed it up for me buddy.. Any man reading this listen to everything Brandon says he is 100 percent correct on this.. That’s one of the things I didn’t like about the creams, though daily dosing is nice in terms of mimicking daily rhythm, you are forever tied daily to the gels, and if you forget it or go out of town and forget to pack it etc you are screwed. the injections, are a like a set it and forget it, and comes with much less maintenance. not to mention the fact that it’s hard to get high normal levels on the gels

I mainly wanted my levels checked, I’m 38 yrs old and turns out I’m pretty low. 138 total test. Free test was low also . After speaking virtually with a physician, he suggested cream. I think it’s 5% 50m/cc. I really want to find somewhere trustworthy to get the injection but as I said , there’s no TRT clinics nearby my location. Anyone have any advice? Plus the price for the subscription and cream is a little pricey.

Just got blood test and Total T is 1043, and Estradiol is at 105 (high), DHT is 576. I'm not taking Anastrazole. Should I lower my dose back to 100mg/week? Do you recommend “low dead space” syringes? I noticed with BD syringes you can waste upwards of .05 ml of the oil that’s leftover in the dead space of the slip on portion of the syringe for each injection. I’ve recently ordered low dead space syringes to reduce waste of the test cypionate. Your thoughts on this? Thanks!

    I've been on TRT(Cypionate-300mg/2x week) for about 6 months. Felt great for a while then felt like I was going to pop. Had labs done and hematocrit was at 61, did phlebotomy. I dropped down to 200/2times week, but have High Blood pressure now. Never had High Blood Pressure in my life. I've always been 120-130/80 kind of guy. Suddenly my BP was 165/105. I've gotten that down to 140/85 but still not acceptable in my limited knowledge of everything. In your opinion if the cypionate has this effect on BP, would you say that this is an isolated case where I am not a strong candidate for TRT? I have zero desire to go back to feeling lethargic, but I have a son and wonderful family that need me around, so can't be playing around with sustained High BP either. 1davechase is right. That's a boatload of test. For some, way too much. When hematocrit and estrogen get too high, BP goes way up. You have to manage those. Giving blood only reduces HCT by 6%ish. You need at least two draws or a double red blood draw to get back under 51.

      Zen G. Hi Zen. Natural is best when it comes to blocking 5-alpha-reductase from turning the testosterone into DHT. Saw palmetto, pumpkin seed extract, L-lysine, green tea extract and grape seed extract all work to block dht and actually have many other positive health benefits. Propecia causes severe ED in many patients and it block dht to an unhealthy level in my opinion. DHT is crucial to optimal health so don't block all of it. Also, remember that hair loss is more genetics than anything else. Hope this helps.

    Thank you! My doctor just did a blood test and it turned out I have low testosterone. Looking at the symptoms it makes a lot of sense. She said that she would like to put me on a treatment. We ruled out creams or gels because I have a little 5-year-old daughter and I don't want to put her at risk of contact. The told me that the injections might require a nursing visit because they are difficult to administer and that would typically happen every 2 weeks. Although I do not know if that is the time scale she has planned yet or not. I will discuss that with her.
    My late wife had Type-2 Diabetes and she regularly gave herself shot. Is it any more difficult than that??? Is it because of the location. Seems like it needs to be in the glute muscle or the quadriceps. If I can get better results more frequently that would be great. I am very forgetful and worry about needing to remember to give myself treatments. But it seems like that might be a symptom too that might improve with the treatments.
