- I collected the voices of Momotaro family.
Most of them are cries of Kintaro.
Gentaro's voice is mostly related to father Momotaro.
The mother Genki's voice is probably the least common.
My favorite is Kintaro's gentle cry when he spoils his mother Genki.
We look forward to working with you in 2024.

The Momotaro family were all born and raised in Japan!
Momotaro (father) was born on Jul 3, 2000
He came to the Kyoto City Zoo in 2010.
Genki (mother) was born on June 24, 1986.
I was born in Kyoto and came back to Kyoto.
Gentaro (eldest son), born on December 21, 2011

Little Kintaro really throws a temper tantrum when he doesn't get his way! Gentaro gets a bit annoyed and puts on his rampage face when Kintaro won't settle down, but Genki just spoils him. Quite the family dynamic!
I love how Genki and Kintaro try to stop the fights. I especially love the view where Kintaro ran over and was pulling on his Dad's leg and Genki was holding on to Gentaro. Poor Gentaro! He looked so terrorized.
I know it was heartbreaking but Gentaro was in the wrong. His baby face gets me everytime

@@staceycooper1086 Gentaro has been provoking his dad occasionally. I think it's Gentaro's age maybe is why he's doing it. Since he gets so scared (and understandably so) when Momotaro goes after him, you'd think he'd learn not to be doing that, but I guess it's just part of growing up for Gentaro, and getting to be a silverback. I also love Kintaro but Genki is my favorite of all of them though.

I had no idea kintaro was that loud 😳 his outbursts, and a lot seem unnecessary are causing momo to get involved cause he thinks someone is hurting him 🙁 that lil rascal is spoiled to the core. 😂I think he’s gonna more of a handful for momo and Genki than Gentaro is!
You definitely hear mom on the zoo’s YT channel and Instagram! Kinny is the most vocal about everything!
Kintaro loves to make a lot of noise apparently 😂 That's something we rarely hear, so I enjoyed actually being able to hear them make noises and such. It also helps explain to me more why Momotaro can sometimes get angry with both the boys when they are making so many loud noises.
I’ve always said that I’d lose my mind with him screaming all day. I like Kintaro and all but I need quiet 😂

@@truth-sj4oy Kintaro was making so much noise that the gorillas wouldn't have been able to hear the visitors anyway over his constant screaming.
Gentaro has gotten so big and handsome this past year. I really enjoy seeing him and Momo.
Momotaro is even faster and more agile than I thought. Gorillas are incredibly powerful. It’s amazing to watch. Even little Genki climbs as well as the boys and used to hold Kintaro or Gentaro while doing it.
I love to hear their voices . Kintaro is so dramatic with the snow. ❤😊
This was lovely, I think I heard Genki. Momotaro's and Gentaro's sweet tooting and daddy's big roar at the window was amazingly powerful. Kintaro, dramatic and loud bless him. You could definitely hear the difference in his vocalization as he was communicating with his family. 💖💖🦍

That's been very interesting! Kintaro sounds like a real drama queen! He uses a wide range of vocalization, and I wouldn't be surprised if his unique way of communication was the subject of future studies.

I really think the family needs more space, places where they can enjoy solitude when eating for example out in the open as i have seen other captive Gorillas live. I hope Gentaro will move soon. Anyone watching for a while is quite aware of the tension between them, which is natural, but Gentaro needs to go asap he is now older than his father was when he had Gentaro.

Gentrro doesn't need to go. He's part of this troop. The zoo needs to find more room for them and expand where they can live.

I just watch this in amazement how spoiled Kintaro is, I have not witness on. TH-cam another gorilla as spoiled rotten as Kintaro is. It is too much! The parts where Momo goes after Gentaro I can't watch, it breaks my heart. It makes me laugh when Kintaro has a fit about the snow.

In that particular instance, Gentaro had provoked his father (someone else in the comments (in a different video) said that Gentaro had bitten his father) and then Momotaro went after him. He sort of pretty much was asking for it in that instance, although there have been other times when Momotaro misunderstood something and then wrongly went after Gentaro too though.
@@Sheryl777you’re right. The big fight when Momotaro kept going after him was when Gentaro bit him. I bet he’ll never do that again.
@@justbreathe_ I hope Gentaro won't do that again yeah. Gentaro needs to learn that his dad is much bigger and stronger than he is (at least for now), and Momo could really hurt him if he wanted to.

This is the first time ive heard the voices of the momoto family,and kintaro is very loud,and you know where you stand with him.😅Genki gets nervious over kintaro loud.voice,and tries to calm him down,and its amazing when that scene between gentaro,and momoto,kintaro is right in the middle screamimg,and pushing back momoto,amazing he doesn't fear his dad,and hes still.so little. 😊😊😊

Thank you, that you let us hear their voices,it was more dramatic and it's nice to hear their emotions, when you just hear music or people talking which I don't know the language, you really don't know how the gorillas are feeling if their playing or fighting,it just made it more interesting.
I didn't know that Kentaro had such a big mouth, that explains why dad stops the play sometimes, Momentaro likes it quiet anyway,now I uninstalled him better.

What is with all the screaming? I do see Momataro fighting with Genki and Gentaro. Why? Then Kintaro is screaming. When they are outside they seem to be screaming to let inside. Kintaro doesn't seem to like the snow, so he's screaming to be let inside. I never heard this before from this family. There was a moment when Gentaro was posing, he look sooooooo handsome. @justbreathe_ He didn't just bite him "out of nowhere" Everytime Gentero was sitting somewhere, Momo would come along and tell him to move so HE could sit there. Gentero got tired of his father showing dominance and lashed out at him. So Momo decided to beat him up and Gentero took him on. Genki and Kintero got involved trying to stop Momomentaro from kicking Gentero's ass. No matter what, I'm always on Gentero's side ❤

I used to get annoyed at Gentaro bullying Genki, but it seems as if he is the most normal of the lot now. Genki with her psychological issues, Kintaro being spoiled beyond the pale, and poor lonely incel Momotaro who finds his wife disgusting! Jeez!
