Well it was amazing! Exhausting but amazing! We did a whole Euro trip then ended it with the party train from Amsterdam to dreamvill, then Tomorrowland. I will say one thing for those who haven't gone (and stood at dreamvill), don't expect to get any sleep after 9am, It gets too hot! Lol. Also I wanted to share this with you because apparently it's a dreamvill phenomenon, it's a song that is heard playing at the outside open showers (very cold showers). I heard it and was hooked! Had to ask the guy what the song was. The only place it seems you can find it is on TH-cam it's called schließfächer halbsteiv. But yeah next time I think we'll go the hotel route. I'm glad we did the dreamvill but it was roughing it out in the trenches lol. The main stage was absolutely amazing! It was good times! Also on another note this turned into our honeymoon! We got married last month!

Can’t believe they wrote a whole book for the festival 😅 I definitely agree about the security, I have social anxiety as it is so to have next to no security would definitely make me feel anxious at the festival… overall it seems like a great time though!! Was there too at W2, 450€ for full weekend ticket with camping, 150€ for food and drinks, 70-80€ for camping gear, 40€ car camping voucher, 100€ gasoline to the festival and back; so 820€ in total for me :)
About the water: In Europe tap water is generally drinkable. Especially in northern and western Europe. Worth checking the status for a country when you travel. Free water being available vary a lot between events. Free water can be arranged easily, but many events use water as a cash grab. Also in all other matters. Europe is a place where pretty much each country is unique from each other. Do not rely that your knowledge on an European country would apply in other countries as well! About security: metal detectors are actually really good at knowing the shape and size of metal. On airports the detectors are usually set on very strict limits. For events the detectors can be set to trigger only on larger metal objects like blades or gun barrels. Cameras and phones only contain very small pieces of metal so they would not trigger. Having detectors on sensitive setting would be a nightmare as so many people have metal on their clothing etc. If the physical security check were lazy, that is an issue for sure. Maybe they rely on the metal detectors to pick up knives, guns etc. and are not really worried on other types of threats.

i get that you want "free" water , but that water has to be paid for somewhere down the line , if each person takes 1 liter of water per day x 100000 people that's a lot of "free" water
I totally see what youre saying! and like I said there’s different systems in place in the US which is what I’m used to so I understand its different. I just feel like in the heat & crowds it would be a safety hazard if people are turned away from staying hydrated due to cost!

I'm not a fan of big festivals. I went to the first ultra it was on south beach, it was free, and there was about 3500 ppl max. It was amazing. The last time I went it was 2007 and it cost $75. I got tired by 11pm and left. I can't imagine going to a festival again. It's too much.
@@LivinLargewithLCruu back in the day I used to go to a lot of parties. Now I prefer going to smaller events with a lot of friends and djs I know. The music is usually better and you can actually sit down and use clean restrooms. Lol.
Our global journey package was $3000 each lol and we bought our tickets in January and we’re monitoring flights since before ticket purchase unfortunately during busy season that’s an average flight price now. I saw lots of people dressed up like at EDC, we went weeeknd 1

Secondly, about the security, Europe is safer than US when it comes to drug and weapons. Most Europeans are not crazy where in US, you got lot of bad people who are committing crimes like stealing phones. By the way, the definition of rave is different in Europe. Europeans will get confused if you bring rave cultures from US like EDC Las Vegas. To Europeans, they are going there to enjoy the music and festival. Some music festivals in Europe, it is like family function. I saw a dude with a baby during Martin Garrix set at Untold. I mean you are not in US. Express yourself but in moderation because some European festivals have kids. Please be respectful when you are in different country and act properly. Europeans can spot Americans easily because we stick out. When it comes to traveling expense, you should focus on getting to Europe at cheapest price. Good place to fly is UK. If you search for a deal, you can find a flight to London for $700 round trip. From London, you can take the Eurostar that drops you off at Brussel. The cost is like $50 to $90 one way.
