@@ErikKoltz First, your catholics schools have been doing it since high school sports started. And you know if they condone pedophilia, they definitely don't care about cheating. Secondly, East saint louis recruiting is a myth that is and will always be used to minimize a marginalized group when they are successful. I grew up there, played there, and came back home to be principal there as well. So, I'm speaking from a place of knowing. We and I say we, being from ESL, class 1984… Bob Shannon would have made some adjustments at half. He would have ended all those penalties and filled the gaps, made some major hits to slow that flawlessly run option. But we did nothing different after half. 20 more seconds is all we needed. That pic was a rushed play at the end. Mentally beat, we were. Hey, but plenty of fat women singing that day. It was a very entertaining game. But we were not prepared. Just because you play nationally ranked teams doesn't mean squat. ESL lost to both those ranked teams bad and almost lost to a mediocre 6A state champ from Missouri. The 5A schools are the best in Missouri. No one should be surprised that CG beat ESL IMO. CG had a run game that ESL had no answer for. #34 was the best all-around athlete on the field that day. In who's scouting report was it ok to kick the ball to #3. That kid is a stud also. There is always that one Special Team coach that shouldn't be. You guys going on about disciplined vs undisciplined is a bunch of crap. You don't make it to the state championship by being an undisciplined team. CG had the better players/team and just flat out won the game and would do it again 7 out 10 times. Both teams played their hearts out and that made it a fun/great game to watch.
The triple option is actually an offense that is designed for small, slow, disciplined kids. They won, not because they were better, they won because they were unfamiliar. Also, ESL would never play an option team as it does not showcase talent. CG plays for their town and their own stories, ESL plays for D1 scholarships and the pros. Ask yourself this, who wants to go to school that was and is in the murder capital of the world. Check your Joliets, your loyolas, and your Nazareths. Those are your recruiters.
It was a good game. It probably made the defeat all the more bitter for ESL getting beat by a small country town offense.
9:13 🥶🥶
22 was probably 4 inches shorter than that receiver too. It’s all about technique💪💪
East side got ... OUT COACHED !!!
Rematch needs to happen
@@ethanbrown1711 east saint Louis ain’t learned shit from this game
What a segregated game👀👀👀👀
ESTL lost because they didn’t STACK the D LINE nor did they pass the ball enough. You have a 5* wide out USE HIM
We and I say we, being from ESL, class 1984… Bob Shannon would have made some adjustments at half. I wonder if we even watched the film. It looked like we were confused at the beginning. The refs get a C. Fans get an A. Wow, where are class 6a medical team.34 should not have been walking around like that. Next year!! Is the art of kicking gone. Not soccer players to recruit???
#Facts
Penalties and if they would’ve played more like a team instead of individual athletes the flyers would’ve won
Stop the cap I watched the game it was the coaching and play calling not the players
Disciplined vs Undisciplined
Cary -Grove.
9:10 dude got popped
East St. louis needed to use Luther more tbh
Way to go Trojans ! Never back down ! But lose those Penn St looking uniforms boys , you used to wear purple.
34 on Cary Grove was the best player on the field
He’s a senior.
ESL shot there self in there on foot with turn over recovery an 3 minutes left should have score an won this game bad clock management
@Hey he’s senior
He’s good but Luther is clearly on another level as anyone on the field lol
@@frankiemay3211 Luther was unreal but 34 and that OL willed there Team to victory. Clear MVP
Is this Penn State vs Syracuse? 🤣🤣
ESTL got out coached and out played. And number 16 for ESTL forgot to shake hands at the end of the game.
Chiefs vs rams highschool edition
Why even bother posting this?
This may go unnoticed but I am a upcoming artist thats working hard & worth the listen 👏🏽💫
My cousin on this team think he is number 1
That first flag on McVay was BS
Lol didn't go ten feet .
You can tell these two teams are week.
They got waaaay too cocky.... and dependant
Worse coaching game plan in history of worse coaching game plans..
Their receivers can't beat you down the field it's pressure d in the gaps against that slow ass wing t...
Offensively just run misdirection out of spread ..they should've won by 21 points
Got damn, to some white boys too.🤦🏾♂️
Black boys just weren’t good enough🤷🏼♂️
@@datgallon7694 they got cheated that last turnover the quarterback was clearly down before he let the ball go
Y’all gonna play some white boys again this week
E side loses , Illinois Wins
Well said it was a top notch game
CANT WAIT FOR BMORE SFA 410
TO SMASH EAST IN 22
Just because you play nationally ranked teams doesn't mean squat.
No disrespect, there is not one player on CG's team will play D1 football and ESL will have several. Good game though. Ijs.
@@Principalsareamust they won cuz they were the better team . Ur just talking out ur ass . The esl defense couldn’t stop the fucking run up the middle at all lol . Just take your L and go
@@nb8982 get out of your feelings. Facts, neither one could stop the other, hence the score 36-37, secondly, that offense is typically played by small towns that don't have much size, speed, or talent, hence the misdirection of the offense. Lastly, we play football in ESL for a different purpose. Cary Grove plays for their town, we play for scholarships. The offense is very hard to defend, as you don't see it any more besides the Fox valley conference. At the end of the day, they did win, however we sending 7 kids to division one programs. Enjoy your trophy. We will be back next year. 18 of the starters will be back. Your guys were senior heavy.
@@Principalsareamust Cary will be back next year . If not Cary then prairie ridge will be in states next year . Giving y’all trouble with that triple option
@@Principalsareamust in all seriousness tho . Y’all should schedule Loyola and jca next season . Both would be great games
Those schools are segregated as hell. (ha). There's no schools like that here in Arizona. No team that is all one color.
Wym Cary grove is country asl and east St. Louis is in one of the most dangerous cities in America
@@brandonm3670 I'm just pointing out, that I can't think of one school here in the Phoenix area with these teams demographics. Maybe one of the small private schools in Scottsdale or something. Just something to think about. brain food.
@@davidc.992that’s how Illinois for the most part is. Even Chicago, is majority black & white neighborhoods. The further and further you go from Chicago, the whiter it gets. Black people don’t belong in Cary, IL.
Horrible ref!
People saying this was an upset. CG was #1 Seed in the bracket. F outta here with that. Better team won.
Dude esl is was nationally ranked . Their only losses were to img and John bosco. National powerhouses . That’s why people are saying it was an upset
@@nb8982 Plus the fact that ESL was ranked #1 in state regardless of class size.
@@jstins yeah
Ask anybody from Cary-Grove and they would tell you they were the underdogs coming in knowing who ESL had and who they were. Seeds don't mean anything.
Maybe ESL should had done their homework about 6A conference before they moved there. And about CG
They know, we call it country ball.
You know they won the 6A state championship in 2019 right ?😂 what are you talking about you clearly know nothing , I’m not even an ESL fan but I know about their program as well as all the other teams .
Terrible officials!!!
Best game for sure! Just wish they edited the adult "N" using the "N" word. Guess it's just the East St Louis way. Wish all these kids an amazing future on both teams!
Black team got roasted by the refs
They actually committed less penalties this game then they do normally
Black team got roasted by being undisciplined actually!
I was just thinking does blue team have any black players on they team!?!that's weird asf to me!I'm from Florida I have never seen this before .
@@joshevans6743 Cary Illinois is a wealthy area the town is mostly white people tho.. when you face Cary everyone knows you’re in for a football game the big reason why teams Crumble is because they’re so conditioned it’s insane
ESL had just petitioned to be a 6a school, guess it was a mistake
