Real talk guys! The goal is 100K by next year, we think it’s totally possible granted the consistent work we put into producing great content as well as the unbelievable community we’ve already fostered. With that said, we’re here to ride the gravy train with you guys getting lost in the sauce of absolute BANGERS! Cheers guys!

Of course, today's music is crap, but you have to consider the standard that was set in the 60 70s and 80s. There will probably never be another golden age of rock and roll like that. Thanks to you guys for doing it justice.

@@michaelb1761 I don't necessarily know if I would qualify "most" of Thorogood and The Destroyers' songs as covers. - I mean: "Bad To The Bone", "I Drink Alone", "Gear Jammer" ...just to name three, all written by George hisself 👍👍😁
...but, as with many (or, even, most, perhaps) great blues artists ...they tend to pay homage to their forerunners (esp. those who, both DID and did NOT receive the accolades and recognition they were due, at the time. 👍). ...Let's try to name a guy who HASN'T covered, say: Muddy Waters ...or Skip James ...or Robert Johnson ...or Leadbelly ...or Willie Dixon ?? Right?
...but George wrote plenty ...just as the man who brought blues back from the brink, a few years later [Stevie Ray Vaughan], did, as well.
They both wrote plenty of their own material ...However: they knew where they came from and who was important to shine a light upon. 🤘🤘
...but, yes, in any case: I, really, was expressing the fact that "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer" was a John Lee Hooker standard, not to take AWAY from George Thorogood's version (I think I like G.T.'s version even BETTER than John Lee Hooker's original, personally!) or to make any statement regarding "quality," at all or "originality" (everyone has to give their own voice to a song ...otherwise they've done nothing at all! In essence! - at the very least: Nothing worthwhile!!), but, simply, because: I was pretty certain that Andy & Alex (along with a number of others who frequent the page) might NOT be AWARE that: "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer" was a cover and of how important a figure Mr. John Lee Hooker IS in American Blues music.
-Not everyone has the benefit of, either: hindsight, research or, simply, "awareness." Y'see?? 👍😁💜
      That was, really, "my point."
...but I agree with your assessment: George Thorogood is a magnificently talented guitarist and all of the classic blues he has covered, he has done with skill, aplomb and talent.

    Five Reasons why I love George Thorogood;
    (1) After playing semi pro baseball, and as a hard core baseball fan, he decided he'd rather focus on music as a career.
    (2) He opened for the Rolling Stones. In fact I've read that the Stones wanted to bring him into the band at one point.
    (3) He's got a great sense of humor.
    (4) He and the Destroyers absolutely tear up the stage.
    (5) He's got a killer sax player who gets plenty of room to show his chops. As you can tell by my avatar, that's close to my heart.

She is a phenomenal vocalist! Heart was one of my singing inspirations, as were Plant, Daltrey, Bowie and Joplin. I grew up listening to what we now call classic rock, as a teen in the ‘70s. I’m a woman and was the lead singer in a Zep tribute band (a dream come true) at 40 years old, though I’d covered them, The Who, Bowie, the Stones, Pat Benatar, Queen, AC/DC, Judas Priest, etc, for years, including in an all-girl, hard rock band in my twenties. I switched to Blues and Jazz since, but still love going to jam nights and rocking out.

We wrote down our times to see how the alcohol affected our driving. Play the game, take a shot, play the game, take a shot. The game only lasted like 3 minutes so I had like 10 shots in 30 minutes. I woke up the next morning on the couch feeling awful, and there is a bucket and a roll of paper towels next to the couch. I'm like, what the hell is that for? RAAAALPH!!

As awesome as the televised version of "Hocus Pocus" is, I think it takes a distant second place to the album version. They were given too little time to perform the song to their normal time, and instead of dropping anything out to make it fit the time they were given, they sped the entire song up to fit the shorter time. In my opinion, it suffered badly by being compressed like that.
For the Heart cover of "Stairway to Heaven", you stopped the video right before Jason Bonham saluted the members of Led Zeppelin in the balcony, and their returning the salute.

I like the “Hocus Pocus II” version best of all. The guitar work was so far ahead of its time...and none of their other stuff sounded like this.

What’s another good studio song of his to check out

@@alexfromandyandalex8032 I'd say maybe try the songs Focus II or Eruption from their Moving Waves album. Or, just try the studio version of Hocus Pocus or Hocus Pocus II. Most of their stuff is more jazzy or prog rock-ish than the one you guys heard. Enjoy!

The best version of Hocus Pocus is the one from their Moving Waves album.

    Guys please check out
    "Stealin" by Uriah Heep and
"We're an American Band" by Grand Funk Railroad".
Two kick ass classic rock songs! Grand Funk was said to be the loudest concert band of their time!

This is quite possibly the best idea ever, sort of a quint-ee-sential idea: When you hit 100K subscribers, I dare you to do a drunk livestream.

This is one of my most favorite music moments in the last 20 years. I love how Ann Wilson's voice rendered Robert Plant's mf amazing voice. Thanks for this post.
