    • @wapleviathan4006

@Mohamed Hamzah Mohamed Osman You're the one who needs to read more about the history of Rohingya. First, the British Empire won all-three wars against the Kingdom of Burma from 1824 to 1885. It then imported Bengali workers from British Raj (present-day East India and Bangladesh) to work in British plantation in Burma. The reason why Britain didn't make use of the Burmese people is that it simply didn't trust them. It regarded them as rebels and by logic, you cannot use them to work there. Burmese people got discrimination by the British colonial power, making them poor and useless while the Bengali got advantages and a good life. Later on, the imported Bengalis created a new identity called Rohingya to make a distinction from Bengali in general. When the Japanese invade Burma, it utilized the friction between the Burmese people and Anglo-Rohingya, promising the Burmese revenged against the colonial power and strive for independence once it conquered all Burma and expel the British army. The colonial gov. knew this and decide to take a preparation by conducting voluntary military recruitment. The Rohingya was known to be loyal and there's no obstacle to recruit them to serve in the army yet the same thing didn't happen to the Burmese people. The Japanese invasion of Burma greeted with a welcome from the people of Burma who were for decades under the discriminative regime of British colonial gov. They even took arms voluntarily against the British army and its Bengalis voluntary army. With the help of Japan, they also formed an army called the Burma Independence Army (BIA).

You clearly do not know enough about the issue, the Rohingya people have been in the region since the 16-17th century, they have been denied citizenship and have been tormented and discriminated against since a few decades at the the very least. They rebelled because no one would listen to them otherwise which is still wrong but not comparable to what the military carried on later, murdering, raping and burning little kids, trying to erase the entire population. That is not how a country's military keeps it's people in check, that's genocide. I'm not saying syu kii was directly responsible but don't you dare deny the atrocities that happened. Also, don't talk out of your ass if you do not know enough about a subject.

The Military Junta in Burma is still very powerful and dangerous, and still in power. Aung San Suu Kyi has a better part of 21 yrs under imprisonment by the very same generals who are still in power right now. Her husband died in the UK and she wasn't allowed to properly mourn for him let allowed attend his funeral. She never got see her children grow up. She is stuck between her love for country and going back to prison. Those generals would send her bqcktto house arrest the minute she doesn't tow the line, she knows it. And the worst thing is that she also knows the international community is not going to lift a hand to help her. This is a woman who is stuck between a rock and a devil, and all the world wants is her blood for actions for actions of an institution that is out of her powers, as per the constitution of Myanmar. And illegal people went to the police offices, took weapons and make rebellion or want to make their land? Should you allow those people to stay in your home or your country? For allowance of more and more problems? A lot of Muslims stay in Myanmar. Nobody made those PROBLEMS like this purpose. This problem is how are you gonna solve the problem if your country suffered?
Besides: Myanmar is Buddhism and there is a history of Buddhism and Muslims. There is a history of what Buddhism is.
There are 135 races or ethnic groups in MYANMAR in history and can search on google. There is no Rohingya in Myanmar. Where did they come from?

This is the problem our country is facing
Many rohingyats in Rakhine are living illegally in Rakhine and they do not have any citizen cards.
After having so many problems, our government have been deciding to accept them legally by giving citizen card.
Allowing a large amount of them as citizens are not an easy process.
We just want to say to learn properly if you interest this case.

I am not justifying either side’s action. However, when u put blame on one side from hearing only one-sided news, then that’s when it becomes dangerous. Like I said, they’re Bengali. Their own govt don’t want them so why not blame them on why they can’t accept their own pple? I understand that everyone has a situation. I understand what it’s like to cross borders illegally and what it’s like to run away from “leaders.” I am also a minority in Myanmar too. However, all I’m saying is that u cannot judge only based on one side. U must ask “why? Why r they doing this and what caused this?” Instead of condemning a whole entire country. Like I said, I’m not justifying it. Aung San Su Kyi is defending the country of Myanmar, not necessarily its govt’s actions. There IS a difference. For the first time in a while, I see my own country people uniting together for one cause again. I think that says something.

If we look back to the history, Rohingya people are Muslim people originally form Bangladesh who came to Myanmar in 1825 after England took over Rakhine state. That’s why Myanmar claim that Rohingya is not part of Myanmar (Burma) ethnicity.
And also Aung San Suu Kyi lied that Myanmar didn’t do that genocide because she doesn’t have that much power upon Myanmar Junta and they were using her as a shield to cover their crimes against humanity. And now she is in the jail again and millions of people in my country are being killed, women being raped and thousands of homes are being burned down from the same military. At that time , I think she chose to cover for military because she knew what will happen if she didn’t do so.

Myanmar doesn't recognize Rohingya as citizens and they are much like illegal immigrants in the US. The way Myanmar military handled was definitely wrong, but calling it ethnic cleansing or genocide is extreme. She is a State Counselor and half of Myanmar Parliament is from military who often opposes her and do whatever they want. Calling all kinds of names on her when it was mostly military's doing is senseless.

Read the article below. This is the reason why Myanmar army involved and do clearance operation in order to protect victims of Muslims. Note that you may think Only Rohingyas among others ethnics of a village were pushed to flee. It is not true. They are Majority in the villages in that area and they killed Non Muslims in their villages. Those non Muslims were actual victims and needed to be protected at that time. Military needed to go the villages to protect but Rohingya villages were blocked Army route and fought with Army, As you know, who would win when exchanged gunfire between trained arm forces and untrained civilians Rohingya who were trying to do Genocide in their areas and so didn't want Army passed through to get to the needing protection village from their areas. So, in the eyes of our Myanmar citizen, Rohingya were the true villains. A lots of Non Muslim people were slaughtered and killed during that time by Muslims. But media only focus only on the fight between Myanmar Army and Rohingya. Don't forget that all Rohingya become one and they killed and launched attacks at that time. www.amnesty.org/en/latest/news/2018/05/myanmar-new-evidence-reveals-rohingya-armed-group-massacred-scores-in-rakhine-state/

On Wednesday, some refugees shouted "liar, liar, shame!", as they watched Suu Kyi defend Myanmar's case on television.
"She is a liar. A great liar, shame on her," said Abdur Rahim, 52, while watching a live telecast of her testimony at a community center in the Kutupalong camp

Great to see Gambia wants justice for the refugees, but it's really misleading for expressing as a genocide. The so-called rohingya fled away from Myanmar not because of there's the genocide, but because of the terrorists ARSA who killed the villagers including Rohingya-muslim, Rohingya-hindus, and Rakhine. The civil war between the terrorists and local military led to the death of civilians, which was not a genocide. Myanmar even let the illegal immigrants in their country which most countries dare not to do. In Yangon and other cities in Myanmar, those Rohingya of all religions stay peacefully which implies that Myanmar isn't commiting a genocide.May the court bring the truth, justice for the country and refugees.

Nicole Tens of thousands of illegal as well as nationalized Bangladeshi immigrants can be found all over Myanmar, not only in Rakhine state. No one bothers the peaceful ones. Army can be very fierce and cruel in attacking rebels (of all religions or races) in Myanmar throughout history. We don't support their way. However army won't play dumb when sovereignty of the state is being threatened.

    • @ThawZaw
      @ThawZaw 5 ปีที่แล้ว
