    He is a native New Zealander known as Maori. Stan suffered from cancer and had to have his stomach removed. The tattoo is tribal and has great signifigance to our culture. Thank you for your reaction. Please react to his version if Kanye's ultra light beam you will not be disappointed.

    Just to let you know that when he made this video about two months before he had surgery for stomach cancer because the gene ran in his family and back in the early 90’s his grandfather had a documentary done on his family in New Zealand because they had a gene that ran in the family that he and his family might have or inherit. The tattoo is a traditional tattoo the female New Zealand women get. He had his stomach removed and his esophagus attached to his intestines so he was so concerned about being able to sing again because singing is his bread and butter. He is a wonderful, traditionalist, talented man that has a great voice and deserves all the recognition he gets times 1000 because the word is missing out on those who are talented across the globe. 😍❤️

    Stan And his mum went through Cancer together. Stan Survived a rare cancer called CDH1 that was responsible for taking 25 members in his family..they both beat cancer. Stan is originally from New Zealand but moved to Australia at a young age due to a new change of life. Stan Sang in church and changed his life, and auditioned for Australian idol, where he won (2009), couple years later Stan returned back home to New Zealand. The tattoo his mum got is called the "Moko" it's a Maori tattoo. The Maori people are the Native Indigenous people of New Zealand. The moko has many meanings, I'm sure someone with more knowledge will be happy to inform you in the comments hopefully. 🙂

    This song was made after they both went through a Big battle with Cancer first his mother and then him and they both beat it. Cancer runs in their family. The tattoo she got traditionally is a cultural tattoo Maori women of high importance would get it is called a Moko Kauae. Her getting it would symbolize the strength she had in overcoming her battle with cancer. Maori are like cousins to Hawaiians as we are both Polynesians and have similarities between culture and language. Maori Come from Aotearoa the Maori name for New Zealand. Also Polynesian Tattoos explain lineage, the living, the ancestors of the person it is tattooed on and the word Tattoo actually comes from the Samoan word Tatau. We didn't have any written languages as Polynesian cultures were all Oral history and tatau.

    • @simplykashh
      @simplykashh  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Aww sorry to hear that. I’m glad they both were able to overcome such circumstances!
      That’s really cool about their culture and that she got a tattoo to represent the hardships she has endured 😊

    • @kilipaki87oritahiti
      @kilipaki87oritahiti 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      xKINGNAGAx A Moko Kaua tells of one’s lineage. It’s not true that only important women got it. It was a coming of age ritual from being a girl to becoming a woman.

    • @xHopshotx
      @xHopshotx 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kilipaki87oritahiti It depends what tribe and Rohe you are from if differs all over. My Rohe only woman of high importance got it traditionally but now things have progressed and it's totally different. Yes it is also Lineage and coming of age as well I forgot to mention that part.

    the tattoo is a moko kauae / traditional maori tattoo. Usually you have to be deserving of it, not just anyone get it. woman will usually get just the chin whilst men get more of the face, almost all of it

      Oh shoot wow ! That‘s cool thanks for telling me

    • @majorrimaha4437
      @majorrimaha4437 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Moko is handed down from generation to generation only the eldest daughter is able to have the moko. If the eldest daughter did not want it then advice is needed from a maori spiritual leader as to whom can carry the traditional moko . So not just anyone can get moko, you have to be deserving of it and only the eldest daughter can get it.

      @@majorrimaha4437 our culture is more diverse these days and isn't limited to just the eldest anymore. Any wahine can get a moko kauae now and is more widely accepted among many Iwi in Aotearoa

    • @Reihana_

      All Maori are entitled to moko, the whole deserving thing is not correct. We are entitled to it based on our whakapapa

    • @siobhanwilson7924
      @siobhanwilson7924 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Kao, e he (no, that is not correct). Moko Kauae/Kauwae is NOT something you have to be deserving of, that was a whakaaro (idea) that was planted within our people over the generations through colonisation. your ONLY requirement for receiving such taonga (gift) is whakapapa Maori (to be of Maori descent)
