I'm brought back to my childhood in the 90s, shopping in the mall with my parents in the late afternoon, when it was already dark at 5PM. The beautiful lights, the smells of cinnamon and holiday candles in the stores. Even the quiet areas where gift wrapping was was decorated for with metal and foil pieces. It was absolutely beautiful. It wasn't so long ago, but it was a simpler time. I'd love to show these kids now who don't know how to celebrate Christmas what it was like for those of us from the past. They truly have no idea what they're missing.
