I’m grateful for visible women professionals, especially black American women who often pay the highest cost, standing up for themselves. Every time they do it and pay for their notions of self-possession and esteem, the path opens up even more for women coming up the path after them. Good for Nene, standing up for herself is standing up for everyone, bc we benefit for the personal cost *she* and people like *her* (and Bethenny for that matter) pay.

My 8-year-old son just found a few DVDs and he has been watching them on rerun. He absolutely is obsessed. It's been about 3 weeks. He finds it absolutely hilarious and it was a great show. I definitely see what you mean. I think Nene has been burned so much she is hesitant to really open up and fully be herself. She seems to be carefully picking her words. Bethany on the other hand seems to be trying to draw her out and not scare Nene away. She also has to overcompensate a bit. I think if Nene really lets loose, this duo would be so entertaining. I see them really being real, calling each other out on bullshit and having a blast while doing it.
I definitely see how B comes off as a bit patronizing in the way she just agrees, praises or compliments everything Nene says. On the other hand, Nene needs to be more in tuned with pop culture if she is going into this direction coz not being familiar with the personalities and current events makes her uninformed. She needs to do her homework more if she will give her opinions on certain topics.
I am not sure if I think Jada is pretentious, I think she shows narcissistic tendencies and speaks about medical and psychological issues as if her solutions are facts when many of her tactics would be harmful to most. An example is her commentary about self-harm and how easy it was for her to move on from it, that is not the case for many, and the delivery feels out of tune with many people's reality. I think many people from her background of trauma would not react this way, but I get the feeling that this "confidence" and "solution based" freedom is how her trauma is expressing itself as an adult. Over-compensating as "healed" to project strength when it is in-fact doing the opposite and causing her harm publicly. People disliking her I believe is creating a new cycle of trauma and needing to "overcome" that I think is how she bases her self-worth.
It's so great to see the two of you together again! I enjoy watching strong, successful and powerful women holding it down in a world still dominated by men and sexist behaviors. Keep it going!

So fascinating to watch nene and B together. I cannot think of two more opposite personalities with different ways of communicating. B is blunt and speaks from the top of her head. Nene is a poet and an actress. B speaks 100 words per second. Nene extends a syllable over multiple seconds for effect and takes words very personally and seriously. It’s just WILD to watch.

Gotta be honest here, all races aside - Nene is giving delusional saying she should be equal to Kim when you should’ve bossed up as a business woman which you did not and still not. You didn’t set yourself up for longevity as far as business success. Bethenny did with Skinny girl. You could’ve made “Bloop” a company selling all kinds of different products for example. Using loser Sheree as an example is a fail. You threw shade at the other ladies just like they throw it at you so… Kandi is a good example of someone who “looks like you” and uses the platform to grow her businesses.
Nene takes no personal accountability for whatever her current status/condition is. I have had to learn to take accountability. What you make out of life opportunities is directly connected to your own beliefs. If Nene thinks she is discriminated against and cannot thrive because of it, that will always be her reality.

I definitely see what you mean. I think Nene has been burned so much she is hesitant to really open up and fully be herself. She seems to be carefully picking her words. Bethany on the other hand seems to be trying to draw her out and not scare Nene away. She also has to overcompensate a bit. I think if Nene really lets loose, this duo would be so entertaining. I see them really being real, calling each other out on bullshit and having a blast while doing it.

I definitely see how B comes off as a bit patronizing in the way she just agrees, praises or compliments everything Nene says. On the other hand, Nene needs to be more in tuned with pop culture if she is going into this direction coz not being familiar with the personalities and current events makes her uninformed. She needs to do her homework more if she will give her opinions on certain topics.

I am not sure if I think Jada is pretentious, I think she shows narcissistic tendencies
and speaks about medical and psychological issues as if her solutions are facts when many of her tactics would be harmful to most. An example is her commentary about self-harm and how easy it was for her to move on from it, that is not the case for many, and the delivery feels out of tune with many people's reality.
I think many people from her background of trauma would not react this way, but I get the feeling that this "confidence" and "solution based" freedom is how her trauma is expressing itself as an adult. Over-compensating as "healed" to project strength when it is in-fact doing the opposite and causing her harm publicly. People disliking her I believe is creating a new cycle of trauma and needing to "overcome" that I think is how she bases her self-worth.

That’s the end of the interview. I think you guys were so good together really enjoyable. And you both definitely made some good points about marriage, boyfriends etc.. I watch u often, but I’ve never seen Nene be interviewed and I really really enjoyed it. I saw a different side to her.
So fascinating to watch nene and B together. I cannot think of two more opposite personalities with different ways of communicating. B is blunt and speaks from the top of her head. Nene is a poet and an actress. B speaks 100 words per second. Nene extends a syllable over multiple seconds for effect and takes words very personally and seriously. It’s just WILD to watch.

Gotta be honest here, all races aside - Nene is giving delusional saying she should be equal to Kim when you should’ve bossed up as a business woman which you did not and still not. You didn’t set yourself up for longevity as far as business success. Bethenny did with Skinny girl. You could’ve made “Bloop” a company selling all kinds of different products for example. Using loser Sheree as an example is a fail. You threw shade at the other ladies just like they throw it at you so… Kandi is a good example of someone who “looks like you” and uses the platform to grow her businesses.
Nene takes no personal accountability for whatever her current status/condition is. I have had to learn to take accountability. What you make out of life opportunities is directly connected to your own beliefs. If Nene thinks she is discriminated against and cannot thrive because of it, that will always be her reality.

Exactly! Nene threw shades at all the ladies past business ventures but wishes they supported hers??🤦🏽♀Instead of being toxic, She should have taken a page from someone like Kim K, Kandi or Bethany. They were successful at using Bravo for their business ventures but instead she chose to fight & get used by the same People that she accuses of destroying her career! Nene helped Bravo reinforce the negative black women stereotype. That same image came back to kick her in her backside! She created her own destiny in Reality TV & moving forward she must rebrand & create a new Lane for herself! BLOOP!!
