If anyone didn't noticed, phinx was mostly the one who doesn't understand why pakunoda is doing all of this instead of just following the boss's rules he made for the spider. But when pakunoda shot them with her memory bomb, phinx was the first one to understand pakunoda's feelings.
What kind of storytelling is this where someone points a gun at you in a loving way saying: "Do you trust me?" How is this such a tender scene? Fucking Togashi. What a fuckin' brilliant writer with all that imagination and so much heart, making me feel things.
I love how the two spider members they stumble upon at the auction are the most bloodthirsty ones, such a funny scene, even in the manga it comes out of nowhere. Having Feitan and Phinks being grateful to them is also strangely touching, you can kinda understand that they feel they owed a debt to Gon and Killua. To me Yorshin City is the best arc of the manga, it really balances action, tension, tragedy and comedy perfectly.
if you want to learn who Kurapika was referring to when saying "I don't want to lose any more friends!", I recommend reading volume 0 of the manga, inwhich you see Kurapika's backstory in full. much like chapter 1 for Gon; which wasn't adapted in the 2011 anime, chapter 0 helps understand the backstory of Kurapika even further.
The best arc is over 😭😭. The founding members are 9 but in Pakunoda's memory only 7 are present, in the manga version 8 appear, the only one who does not appear is Phinks... Kortopi, Shizuku and Bonolenov are not founding moments because they were not born in meteor city
Chrollo: Kurapika used his Judgment chain on him. Two conditions for Chrollo. 1. He can't use Nen. 2. Second he can't have any contact with a Troupe member. So these conditions still allowed him to speak to Hisoka (because he isn't an actual troupe member). But he couldn't fight him cause he can't use nen. Pakunoda: Kurapika used his Judgement chain on her. Two conditions for Pakunoda. 1. Release Gon and Killua unharmed. 2. Don't reveal information about Kurapika to the other troupe members. Why did Pakunoda die? She broke the second rule. Kurapika wasn't aware of her memory bomb of course. She was able to exchange everything she had on Kurapika at one go to the founding troupe members. This killed her insantly. The dilemma between the troupe was because of what the philosophy of the Spider meant to each member. Members like Phinks and Feitan were aligned with Chrollo's original philosophy. He didn't matter. He was just the head but the spider must continue. This is why they wanted to bring everyone which was what Chrollo wanted them to do. Pakunoda, Machi, Nobunaga etc. were more attached to Chrollo as a leader and wanted to follow all of Kurapika's conditions in order to save him. The head of the spider became more important to them than Chrollo envisioned.
Hisoka vs Chrollo does happen in the manga and the fight is beautifully written, say what you want about the art or animation, nothing will surpass HxH characters growth and the nen combats creativity
York New really is an amazing arc, it was my favorite back then because it was the last arc from the 1999 show. Then the 2011 remake hit and we got to watch greed island and it became my favorite, then the next one after that became my favorite lol. The manga is also a nice read and it goes way beyond the 2011 anime, which is what you're watching.
To be honest with not happy with this ending coz the next time they meet its gonna be bloody battle and we will be see characters change from innocent to bloody killers especially gon
