The supremacy of Baba Olanrewaju Adepoju in oratory and local poetry cannot be debated. I read his book 'Ironu Akewi' as a kid and I still crave for every word in the book especially the chapter in which he narrated the gory accident of Kano Plane Crash in the 70s. I may not agree with his latter belief and his surreptitious aspersion on Yoruba traditional beliefs, religions and gods; but I think his legendary status as a worthy Yoruba son is untouchable. I also think by now, and going by his age, whatever imbroglio he is having with Baba Olatunbosun Oladapo should have been buried. Both of them should not exit this world as enemies. I must also commend the display of maturity and professionalism of the presenter in this interview. I have monitored him for a while; he is a delight to watch.
Baba Olarewaju, I used to visit my grandparents in their villages. Baba's description of his childhood brings memories of mine. Revelation: I have no idea that Olarewaju Adepoju was once an Iwofa. What an incredible story.
Hats off to Mr Alabi Aloyin for another wonderful presentation. I'm quite impressed with one proverb you used in this show which I had never heard before. You are a true Yoruba ambassador.
