Planting anything that isn't common to the area will definitely take some time before the deer discover what it is and if they like it, but once they figure it out it can be a great investment.
I bought some alfalfa bales and spread them out on some of my green fields in south alabama and the deer and even hogs would not touch it, the bales were green but nobody plants alfalfa around here and I think the deer just didn’t know what it was ,the best thing I’ve seen draw deer in like a magnet is soy beans, we planted some for summer food and I’ve never seen anything put so much body weight and antler mass on a deer during summer like planted soy beans, they literally will eat the entire plant stalk and all, a lot of 200+ lb bucks and does with 2 and 3 fawns , I’ve put soy beans in my feeders before and they like em but the older deer can’t eat them as much cause they’re harder but planting them works out awesome 👍🏼
That's not how it works. They'll try it, and based on nutritional value they'll tear it up. Sounds like you need to actually plant it, and you'll be the only one around with it. Which is a major plus
Or a farmer with the only corn field within 3 square miles. One, 1/2 mile from me, cuts his corn early, then plants winter wheat as a cover crop. In fall at dusk, when my wife drives by to go to choir practice, she says she could walk on their backs across the field without touching the ground, there are so many deer. Rural area. High deer density. Lots of small, late born fawns. No one shoots does.

I wouldn’t sleep in acorns as a food source. Especially if you can find a ridge with a lot of white oaks dropping.
Well I wish somebody had a big place I could come and hunt on I'm in a wheelchair and I need to get me a big buck this year God bless you all
Is an unprotected garden in a rural area 🤷♂️
