Love these vlogs. Always an emotional journey and always feels like a professional documentary. Such exciting time for you both an# and it's so good to see you exploring this new chapter.
I’m loving the process and progress, remembering my homes over the years, and more importantly the feels of each one. The excitement of a really old home, loved by only 2 families before us, learning all its vibes. Both of my children were born in that special home. Every single one felt like a forever home, but, as a lover of change, the next adventure seems to be waiting… 😊🎉❤
From bookshelf Dave to a beautiful office!! Your journey has been fantastic! Tasha dusting with her beautiful baby bump, adorable. Boone walking through his new home touched my heart.
Just heard the Morning Rush podcast and I ran to search for the superbowl halftime show (85 baby right here lol). It was epic! Between this years superbowl and last year with Riri, that's basically a summary of high school and college for me haha. You were not alone, Dave, in having a blast watching the concert. Also, congrats to you and Tasha on your amazing new home. Its gorgeous.
It is such a gift to be able to join you guys on this latest chapter of your lives. Thank you for including us, and I wish you all the happiness life can bring. Your home is beautiful and will become only more so as you put your personal touches into it and create many precious memories there. God bless you!
Oh no your poor plants! I hope you’re able to save them 🌱 Congratulations on your new home, it’s beautiful! That nursing chair looks amazing, you will be spending lots of time in it so enjoy!
Thank you! Yeah, idk if the plants are gonna recover but I’m gonna hold onto hope a little bit longer. We’ll see once it starts to warm up if we get any shoots 🌱
Wonderful wonderful!!! ❤❤❤ so happy for you, that's the way to do it!!! So smart with the brown paper on the floor, you two are the most clever, organized movers / new homeowners I've had the privilege to witness 🎉🎉🎉 Great job!!!
Oh wow love your new house. It’s beautiful. You will make so much memories in there. Tasha is glowing and I hope her flu is gone. Congrats again. You have wonderful neighbours 🥰 🏠
When we moved into our forevor home, we went from a 6BR 2,450 square foot modern home with a giant walk-in closet to a 4 BR 3,650 square foot farmhouse built in 1900. The master has what is called a dressing room, but it's just a big room with little closets with these sliding doors that make about 30% of your clothes inaccessible. As a solution, I put a bunch of my seasonal clothes and formal clothes in the guest room closet. There's still space for guests to hang a few things, so it totally works out. Another solution I did was to buy those S Hooks like the ones people hang pots and pans with, and I hang all my jeans on them. I also got all velvet hangers that rotate all the way around. I found these little coat hanger hooks where you can hang several items together. You just put the hook on, and then another hanger and keep going down until your clothes are hitting the floor if you want. I usually only do 5 or 6. I put all my black dresses together and white blouses together and so forth. When you want something, you just grab that coathanger. It's super easy. Finally, I got some of those pant hangers where you can hang 5 or 6 pairs of pants, and then it lays down flat. I got rose gold everything, so it actually looks really pretty. I got the idea from watching some closet organizing videos, and then I found everything on Amazon. Just switching to the velvet hangers makes a huge difference because they take up way less space in your closet. The project was actually really fun, and it brings me a lot of joy to be able to easily find what I am looking for.
That’s awesome!! Yeah, a few years ago I had someone help me come organize my closet in the KonMarie method and it brought me so much joy to have everything easily seen and accessible- it makes such a huge difference! And that’s exactly what I did with our guest room too. Put all my formal dresses and off- season clothes in there. Figure I can just do a swap in the summertime easy enough
I love the doors going into your office! I love how you both are so down to earth, filming first thing in the morning. Tasha is glowing. She is such a naturally beautiful lady, and pregnancy suits her. I looked so puffy and sick when I was pregnant.
If your hot water heater is gas, next time it goes out, get a tankless water heater. It will change your life!! I'm not kidding!! Two people can shower at the same time while the dishwasher is running and you never run out of hot water! This was my favorite house you looked at, BTW! And, there was a lady bug in the car after you toured that house! It was a sign! 😊
This is so cute. I haven’t had the chance to watch this yet. Your new home is great! I love all that natural light and nice spacious rooms. Well wishes to you and Tasha !
Tasha, love the nursing chair with all the bells and whistles. What a story so far guys. Glad your neighbors are showing some TN hospitality. Waiting to see Boone enjoying the backyard! 🐾
Beautiful home !! Have fun decorating, can’t wait to see Dave’s office!! I agree there should be a tv in the middle of the built in bookcases with the Dave Neal podcast screen shot and the chairs in front.
Absolutely beautiful new home ❤ I love the nursing chair,Tasha. You are going to be so comfortable there. All that light in the dining area is just perfect. ❤❤❤
So happy for the two of you. How's the pup doing? Has he been able to see the backyard yet? You've mentioned that a few things have needed repair. That's good. Not that they were broken but that you get all those repairs out of the way. Now you can really sit back, relax and enjoy your new, beautiful home. Keep tabs on the invites you're going to have. I count 2 so far. 🙂
I love this! My husband and I are in a similar time of life, going on a year in our first home and first baby coming soon! Congrats you guys, this is such an exciting time!! The house is beautiful!
Just subscribed! Somehow thought this was just on your regular channel Dave, and was hoping you’d do more videos like these moving vids! So glad you have this channel, fun to see this side of you and watching you and Tasha together is so fun!
What a lovely home!!! We had something similar happen with our house but it was the furnace. Thankfully our real estate agent had paid for a home warranty package so it only cost is a small copay. If you do have to replace again down the road, I suggest a tankless hot water heater. Saves on water and heating costs plus you never ever run out of hot water even if 3 people are taking showers😅
I love these videos! My ONLY critique is that they just aren’t long enough, I could watch you both all day! Congratulations on all of these fantastic accomplishments ❤️
DAVE! Best thing I ever did was get Home Shield which covers all the appliances, hot water heater, AC, etc. Peace of mind, baby! =) LOVE the new home!!
Welcome to home owning. Moved from Torrance CA 2 years ago. Moved in to several gas leaks. The thankless waterheater wouldn't heat 2 weeks in. Walmart was a scarce in my LA hood, but now my weekend shopping experience in the south! Love it, holly springs ,nc
My husband moved into our new home. The 1st shower he took was with cold water as the hot water heater which passed inspection and was 1 year old. My husband's 1st bath flooded the basement. Welcome to home ownership.
Look at your contact and see if you have a warranty. It was on my daughter's and it really helped to replace her furnace. The house is beautiful, looks like you made the right decision.
The previous owners were nice enough to leave the curtains behind!! I will probably be changing them out as I go - as we paint/decorate each room, but that’ll take some time, so for now, really nice to have!!
Agree! Our agent bought ours for us too and we were thankful for it when our AC stopped working. It was repaired for $50 instead of $350. It’s not too late to buy one.
I have never had anything under warranty and replaced unless it was a new appliance. Home warranties can be very costly. You will be much better off setting money aside each month for those emergency repairs. Buying a maintenance plan yearly for your heating & cooling is a reasonable idea as it provides at least 2 cleanings & inspections each year at their set cost and often eliminates a service call fee when you have a repair (a $60-100 savings). You can also just pay as you go to save some money as I have only had 2-3 emergency repairs in 45 years of home ownership. The Home Warranty doesn't always provide emergency service. People in my neighborhood have had to wait several weeks for service during our coldest weather this winter. So if you do choose one make sure it is reputable, scrutinize the terms carefully, and be sure it has reasonable timeline guarantees.
That is a gorgeous house. It is so great to see each move is an upgrade! House one was studio apartment, sort of, then a two-bedroom and that was so exciting. You two so deserve this and I am so thrilled for you two! Tasha is a great decorator! You both compliment each other. It was so sad to see your poor dog walk.🥰❤💞💞
Thank you! 💗 yeah, he has a little bit of a harder time now - it’s tough, but he’s tougher! And luckily he doesn’t seem too bothered by his more limited ability these days 🙏🏼
❤❤❤ I am so very happy for you guys! Enjoy your new home. Wait to your babies born life will be hectic but it’ll be the best thing that ever happened to you. I wish you nothing but the best for you and your beautiful family.❤
BF Myers has been so great! We managed to find a few things there and with really good pricing! The secondhand market has been really tough here, so so glad we were able to get some deals
I'm way behind.... you moved to Nashville? Did I know you guys were expecting? Super Duper nice House.... I should follow along more closely. --congrats on everything kids!

Your new home is beautiful, but especially with a baby coming, I would highly recommend getting rid of the carpet as soon as you can. It's toxic and unsanitary. Also, it's impossible to keep clean with a baby, toddler, or child. I had carpet with my son and it ended up having all these little spots everywhere from where his bottle or cup would drip when he was playing. When I bought my first house, we removed the old shag carpet before we moved in and that is when I realized exactly how nasty and unsanitary carpet is. Especially in the bathroom. The next 3 houses, the first thing we did was remove the carpet. Our current house had just had new carpet installed when they listed it, and after a few months, even that was nasty. Steam cleaning just pushes the dirt in further and creates mold and bacteria under the carpet. Throw rugs are the way to go. Those can actually be cleaned all the way through.
Yes I been looking into getting some rugs! Even if we can replace the carpet just yet. Definitely want to have everything super-cleaned before baby starts crawling!
Tasha is radiant! Your house is gorgeous! You have friendly neighbors!
Enjoy ❤️💐
Your wife is beautiful and she has the sweetest disposition ❤

Feeling much better now, and yes - we got so lucky! Our neighbors are great!

I am so happy for you. You were so wise to move before the baby comes! Thank you for sharing this with us.
Thank you so much! Yeah it was a lot and kinda felt like a scramble but I can’t imagine doing it with a little one!
Beautiful home congratulations god bless
The neighbor gift was so sweet! Your house is really coming together. I love that nursery chair 😍
Nursery chair a must!!
Right? That chair looks super comfy 😊💐
Thank you! Yeah, the saleslady at the store said it’s their number one selling nursing chair - I can totally see why!

Now on to SUPER BOWL Sunday.
My husband moved into our new home. The 1st shower he took was with cold water as the hot water heater which passed inspection and was 1 year old. My husband's 1st bath flooded the basement. Welcome to home ownership.
It feels like a rite of passage in some twisted way lol

Look at your contact and see if you have a warranty. It was on my daughter's and it really helped to replace her furnace. The house is beautiful, looks like you made the right decision.
Beautiful home❤️
Welcome to Nashville!!
Welcome home! ♥️
I have a nice woven trunk in my bedroom that holds about 30 sweaters......... save on your closet space .
I really should do that! You’re not supposed to hang sweaters anyway - I’ve just never had the extra space or drawer space to have them folded! 😅
The first morning, and you already have curtains? How did that happen? Took us 2 weeks of flashing our neighbors. Your house is so nice!
The previous owners were nice enough to leave the curtains behind!! I will probably be changing them out as I go - as we paint/decorate each room, but that’ll take some time, so for now, really nice to have!!
Good idea to get a home warranty..especially for the 1st year
My agent paid for my first year since the seller wouldn't. I renewed and it has been money well spent.
Agree! Our agent bought ours for us too and we were thankful for it when our AC stopped working. It was repaired for $50 instead of $350. It’s not too late to buy one.
@beckyg361 well, you would have had to pay a deductible..
@@laurieann5312 oh yeah, you are right. I stand corrected. It was $50. I edited what I wrote to reflect this.
I have never had anything under warranty and replaced unless it was a new appliance. Home warranties can be very costly. You will be much better off setting money aside each month for those emergency repairs.

Absolutely Beautiful 🎉🎉🎉😂😂❤
Beautiful home! So happy for you.
An old saying is that “bad things come in threes” so you guys should be good 👍 😊Congratulations again 💕
I hope so! 😅😂
Thanks for sharing ❤!
Dave just noticed your shirt! Every night is hockey night here in the Great White North!😂😘🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Wow that nursing chair!!
It’s so comfy!
This made me cry tears of joy. Congratulations!
Thank you!
COOL HOME 🏡
We have had hot water heaters go out and flood our houses three times.
Oh my gosh - sounds terrible!!
Tasha: three things, I think that's enough
New house: hold my beer
Hahaha!
Love this!! So happy for y’all!!
*by the way, You will need to learn to use the term “y’all”
Congratulations on your beautiful home
Thank you so much!
Tasha is so beautiful 🎉🎉😂❤😂🎉
Where did you find that awesome chair in the nursery?!
At our local store! They actually sell it on Amazon too - but in store we had a lot of diff fabric and color options 🤍 amzn.to/42LjQ7d
Thank you so much!
Love your new house and i promise not to give any unsolicited advice on where to put the tv or how to decorate 😂
Hahaha!
I'm way behind.... you moved to Nashville? Did I know you guys were expecting? Super Duper nice House....
I should follow along more closely.
--congrats on everything kids!
I cannot love this video any more.
Where did Tasha get her shoe shelves?
Walmart!! They are actually shoe cubby benches but I just didn’t attach the feet or bench cushion. Of all the options I look at they were the perfect size and I knew they’d sit on the shelves easily if I did it attach the feet since they have a flat bottom - rstyle.me/+w0DA5qoY1EBQlfU7TPdLMA
go to Epice! my favorite Lebanese spot
Ooooh thanks for the recommendation!!
Alot of real estate trsnsactions have a 1 year warrantryehen yiu purchase. Contact your real estate agent. ASAP to see if all covered
Probably too late now, but didn't you guys get an inspection? Also a home warranty for the first year.😢
We did but unfortunately our contract did have a warranty and our inspection wasn’t “insured” in any way either. Such a bummer - lesson learned for next time
❤
Is the home warranty going to cover your water heater?
Unfortunately no. :/ Lesson learned for next time!
