If you love the Tour of flanders, steep hills excite you and you think cobble stones are cute, the legendary wall of 'Geraardsbergen' in Belgium is calling for you.
Muur van Geraardsbergen - 910m climb on cobble stones with a maximum incline of 20% 😱.
For decades, the wall (De Muur) has been the penultimate and decisive climb of the tour of flanders. Other races such as the Three Days of De Panne, Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and BinckBank Tour use the hill. Go and test your climbing power against Victor Campenaerts, Remco Evenepoel who are at the top of the strava leaderboard.
The very roughest section pays homage to Eddy Merckx. Stop there if your legs of steel can resume.
My first time here I made some mistakes, the most unforgiving one may have been having too many Belgian chocolates. I will be back 💪🏾

Will do this in Bikepacking Mode in two months... First Arenberg sector and a few others of Paris-Roubaix, the Vélodrome of Roubaix, then some Climbs of de Ronde, then de Muur and Bosberg. Did the Mur de Huy last year, that was pretty tough with all the bikepacking stuff...😅

Did this climb just a few hours ago. I thought it was alright until that part where you went for the 'side lane' that incline was nuts. 😂
😂 I used too much power that time too early and didn’t realise it’s longer 😅. I’ll go back and crash it at race pace 💥

Hehe! Thanks. It was great to see the view at the top but those cobble stones were too much for current heavy bones. I don't mind an even tougher hill but please without the cobbles 🤣
