I bought mine from Jeff West. It's an amazing heli. So easy and smooth to fly. I'm an intermediate sport pilot. I don't do a lot of 3D, just flips, loops, and some inverted hovering but man, this heli is so easy to fly. And it's very confidence inspiring!
14:15 Thanks for that comment! I’ve been a fixed wing prop and jet guy off and on over the years, never Heli beyond the little Air Hogs or bigger, non-collective home improvement store toy special. Always wanted to try Heli, since flying fields are getting harder and harder to find and time is at a premium with age and work. Love the idea the 360 has Safe. Still a little intimidating, but yet a little less so. But what you said, “let the experts be experts. You crash your shit and let me crash mine…” makes me wanna buy this even MORE now. Screw it! Thanks for your review and honesty!
I'm learning on a Blade 230 v2, still on safe mode high rates doing figure 8's comfortably in my narrow backyard. Next I need to go to a park or a athletic field to learn circles and fly towards myself. Its a little scary flying a helicopter facing yourself. I am mainly a airplane flyer so I am use to flying right to left to right or right to left or up and down for over 25 years. I am mainly a sport flyer not a 3d pilot, but can hover a airplane pretty good now. I have been flying helicopters for only 2 weeks now but learned alot already. I know I still have alot to learn, you and your wife have inspired me to keep pushing forward into learning to fly helicopters.
I don't feel that confident with the 230 mine wanders around a lot, my 150 non smart version is so stable in safe it's ridiculous nose in it will just sit there in one spot.
I got one too, 3 years ago, wish it was direct drive!! Gotta get a 6 pack of gears... This is one of the easiest I have ever flown in my life, it is actually VERY beginner friendly, just jump to this one and forget those fixed pitch tiny dumb things that cannot fly in a breeze!!! This puppy fears no wind!!
Another great video and tons of information…….you have helped me choose my first helicopter which is going to be the blade 330s bnf…….the 360 is a little bit above my skill level for a first helicopter……..after watching all your videos on the blade 230s, 330s and the 360 the 330s makes the most sense for my first helicopter……..keep up the great work
Safe is great for learning orientations. I never fly with it anymore though. I recently got into bigger helis with the SAB raw 420 and SAB Kraken 580. The fly soo much better than the micros I have and aren't as intimidating as I thought once you know how to fly. Id like to see you do some bigger helis like the fusion 480 or something 500-700 size.
I highly suggest running 4S batterys, all you need to do is change the 11t pinion to a 10t. It gives you more torque and your CG will be correct. Great video.
Really!?!?! That's it. I'd love to see the extra crazy power! This thing is already GREAT stock, but compared to the M4, my next best heli, it's still got more lag in 3D stuff....but let's be realistic, I'm not good enough for heavy 3D anyway. Maybe some day ;)
This is actually a pretty good heli, and Ive built and flown top tier airframes like Minicopter, and all the common stuff in between from Gaui and Align up to Goblin and Mikado. Might be why they’ve continued making the same frame design for so long. No, it’s not top tier quality, but it is smartly designed, good geometry, light, simple, and tight enough tolerances that it doesn’t have slop everywhere or fall apart. I much prefer a Vbar flybarless unit personally, and when I had one that’s what I used but it’s capable of everything from beginner hovering to full-on 3d with the included electronics. Personally I sold mine and kept the gaui x3 instead but that’s only because it flies just as well but with cheaper parts. And you choose your own electronics when you build one. But for someone getting into helis and doesn’t know what components to choose or doesn’t have some other proprietary radio system like Vbar Control, this is a good bang for the buck, easy start.
Hello sir, what are your thoughts on real flight,I was looking to get,so I could practice different things,is it worth picking up sir? Thank you in advance
You mentioned something about throttle cut. I find with a bunch of these helis, it doesn't cut it immediately, there's like a one second delay, which yeah, doesn't sound like much, but when you loose it, and it's on the ground flopping around like a fish on a dock, that one second seems to take FOREEVVVVVEEER as you watch pieces go flying off your floundering machine! lol. Anyway, this heli is def on my wish list. Has been for a long time.
This one is RIGHT NOW, but some of the RTF offerings from China have exhibited this for me too, and it's disheartening. Even THIS heli has to slow down the blades, and there's a lot of inertia, remember...so keep that in mind too.
Could I please ask a general advise question ? Coming back to RC heli’s after a 30yr break things have changed massively, Just the fact that it’s all electric now and what with ‘stabilisation’ and such like, I’m a bit out of my depth. I’m flying a Blade Fusion 360 Smart with an NX8 transmitter, which I setup exactly as per the book. All’s well in normal mode (Stability on) and my hovering manoeuvres are coming along nicely. I feel almost ready to venture off into a circuit, but when I go into Stunt 1 (with Stability off), as soon as the head speed comes up, the heli generally feels super-sensitive. I’ve reduced my rates slightly to 80% and introduced 30% expo in this mode and it still feels “sensitive” to me ! I’m considering turning Stability on for Stunt 1, (maybe just for a while), thinking that might give me that bit more confidence and get me into circuit flying again. Would you say that’s the wrong thing to do, would having Stability on in Stunt 1 be a no no, (just for general flying around obviously), or should I make sure me other adjustments, or maybe I should I just accepts that I need to get used to the sensitivity ? Thanks in advance ……… Carl
Just a side note. The weakest part on this Heli, are the servos. If you crash the 360, the servos WILL strip out, or stop working altogether. I've even had mild crashes with mine, where everything was fine, but at least 1 servo dead or stripped, and needs to be replaced. If you replace the stock servos with the KST DS215MG v3 servos for your Cyclic, and the Rudder servo with a TORQ CL0306T, and you will have no more problems. Almost everyone on the Heli Forums that own a Fusion 360, do this upgrade first thing, when they get it.
Does anyone know if someone makes a scale fuselage that will fit the 360? Or let me know what to look for? Like the FlyWing helis, but absolutely HATE the tail motors on them.
U can use a 4s 50c. When I was flying my 360, (b4 the flight controller quit), a 4s 30c worked fine, & had a wee bit more umph when needed. Some buddies were using 6s in theirs with no problems whatsoever, doing wild stuff! Just gotta be sure C of G is correct! Cause, unless it changed (& we know HH never changes OEM🤷♂️), esc handles 6s & is setup for 'up to 6s'. I used to 3d the ThunderTiger Raptor 3D back when. Waaaay back when 🤪

You mentioned that you "softened things up a bit" with the radio settings? In beginner safe mode, is it still the recommended 100% with no expo ? or did you go like 85% travel with 25% expo ?? Thank you
I’ve had a 120S and flew quads a lot before a break from everything for several years. I want a strong heli to cruise around my large yard that can handle low wind and have some size to make it easier to see. I was intimidated by this model till watching this video. Now I’m gonna watch your video on the 330 and try to decide which to go with. Any recommendations would be appreciated!
Brian, I went with the Fusion 360 over the 230S and 330S and couldn’t be happier! I had my maiden flight today, winds were around 9mph with some gusts but she did so well and the flight was a huge success! Only have one pack but 2 are in the mail so I’ll get more flights in this weekend. A big thank you for showing me not to be intimidated by the size, it’s easier to fly than the 120S all day long. You’re 100% correct, if you can fly a plane then you can fly the Fusion 360.
After a while safe gets boring, out of safe isn't hard it's just different you nudge the cyclic off centre rather than holding it you get used to levelling the heli manually.

Hi Brian. What's the difference between the 360 fusion and the 330S other than the size? If you can only have one. Which one would you take and Why? Thanks again!
Blade heli’s are a good introduction to collective pitch !! How ever do be aware blade as a company will randomly stop making parts for models and you can be out of luck !! There are many higher quality heli companys that offer great introductory models for the same price or more than blade !!!! Only heli I would suggest is the blade 230s smart . Parts are cheap it crashes well pretty durable and offer plenty of capability for 3d flight had mine for 1 year and I’ve learned 3d because of that heli .. however real 3d once fully ready should be done with maybe a sab helicopter or align or oxy or something else higher end
Nothing wrong with that! I love flying Heli's in SAFE, since I've grown weary of 2 minutes of excitement, and 5 hours of pain and suffering ;) LOL But seriously, heli's are what I like to call, "high consequence" flying...even in the best of conditions, if you miss a landing by a micro-second, it can be a near-complete re-do...whereas a fixed wing, you can crash her into the ground and go and put a retract back into a socket with some china glue, and be flying 10 minutes later! Either way, I love the scale appearance, and SAFE is just a tool that we can all use IF we want ;)
We have it, but it crashed immediately, so we have to rebuild it from scratch to even showcase it. Nate's also committed Hary-Kari but ours decided to roll to the left and crash into the ground out of the blue, without any input from me...it was so infuriating, since I LOOOOOVE that heli, and I got it for about 10 seconds.
Maybe you don't realize how fast your scrolling and pushing buttons and navigating the menus, it's very difficult for us new guys to keep up with ! if you could just slow down a little bit and let the camera crew zoom in on what you've highlighted , when you're so Rapidly scrolling in and out of menus and pushing buttons , it's almost more confusing than helpful
I'm sorry you're having difficulties. We have to try HARD to go through this part quick, and I agree, we do sometimes miss the mark, so we're sorry about that, and trying to work to resolve this. If and when you see what you need. Click the GEAR icon, and slow down playback, if possible. I realize being new is HARD, and that's why we're trying to help...but to be frank, heli's are still not my main-line-card, so I too struggle with them a bit...and for that reason, you might see me make more adjustments, and waffle more than usual...for this, I too apologize, and with time, I am getting better, and hope to help you advance thought the ranks along side me too!
No, just have limited footage. I have been practicing, but last flight I sprained BOTH ankles, and had a pretty lengthy recovery on that part. Now that I'm back to "100%" I decided it would be fun to smack my head on the concrete (in my driveway - bike crash, I guess, but I was knocked out and don't have those 5 hours of memory), and end up in the hospital...about 2 weeks of recovery now, but doing well, less the tinnitus, which is somewhat improving. We have footage, but it's just not that useful YET. Maybe we'll do a "update" this summer, but I am feeling the pressure to get out and try it again, but then I'm also feeling the pressure not to end up dead. My concerns have not gotten LESS, but they have been addressed to a certain degree, now that the power lines are down. I need to get some more help from more skilled paramotor pilots, to keep my chances of success as high as possible. I am not normally this SLOW to proceed, but it is a pretty dangerous activity, and I HAVE TO BE CAREFUL, which I'm sure you can understand.
I bought mine from Jeff West. It's an amazing heli. So easy and smooth to fly. I'm an intermediate sport pilot. I don't do a lot of 3D, just flips, loops, and some inverted hovering but man, this heli is so easy to fly. And it's very confidence inspiring!

What ever to paramotor flying? Give it up
No, just have limited footage.
