I had to do a video up here too to get in my fuckin trunk that opened when it felt like it. 2002 CLK 320...I wish all the other tricks worked but they didn't....had to drill a hole under the license plate to hit the button...there was no wire to pull....it's the only bad thing about those older Benzes is the damn trunk!!!!

Does your backseat lay down or can you take a speaker out. I told my grandson to take the speaker out of my 2000 mercedes benz c230 kompressor sport when the man he called tried to say that the backseats didn't lay down and I know they do. But it took him 10 minutes to remove the speaker and reach in and get the keys. He was 6 hrs away from home

It’s the only fix unless you want buy new or used parts. That’s if you were able to diagnose the cause of the problem.
