3:41:53. Alzheimer's is genuinely the saddest old people disease. My grandpa got this and his only memory that stuck is his youngest son. He even forgot his wife. But the cutest things that sometimes when he saw my grandma he always remarks how beautiful she is. Sometimes he asked who are you? My grandma says I'm your wife. And grandpa just smile. Thats the cutest and the happiest memory i got from my grandpa. Hence this event genuinely broke me
My grandma also lost her memory a few years before she died, but not because of Alzheimer. One day, she slipped in her bathroom, hitting her head on the floor and suffered brain hemorrhage. She survived, but not after her brain formatted itself to that state of a newborn baby. Funny that I didn't relate my grandma to this event when I played it, considering there's some relatable stuffs in it. Years of memories I spent with her, just wiped away
So, the beauty of this ending is not only that Anne remembers, but now, from Anne's PoV, every time she has her mind reset now, her last memory will be what happen in Christmas, and she meeting her mother. Her last memories now, will be happy, instead of before, where she has no memories at all. Now she knows who is Rupee, who is the Commander, everyone she meet in the 2 weeks of Christmas and, most important, who her mother is. Now Angelina doesn't have to remind her that she is her mother, which was the cause of Angelina's despair. Sure, Anne will not remember anything after this event, but her last memory will be a happy one.
I’m so sorry for your loss, I had the same situation happen to me where my grandpa didn’t remember who anyone was. We thought it was best that we didn’t say who we were as family, but reassured him that we are people who care for him and will take care of him because we didn’t want to put any stress on him. I know how you feel. I truly do.

Hey Arty I'm never able to catch you live but I watch your vods. I had to go threw the same thing with my grandmother, dementia is a heartbreaking thing to go threw. I was unable to even go see her at the nursing home because she had no idea who I even was when I showed up, or I was still a 15 year old kid in her mind even though I was 27. This story cuts me real deep as well so your not the only one.
3:29:17 and now you’ve seen Syuen’s other side. Personally I was Team “I WILL fix her” before I had seen this event, and only heard vague things about it, but this solidified my decision. And while there are some people still saying “she only did it because she wants to keep Missilis’s name clean”, if it were the first time the event came out they may have had an argument. However, now that it has voice acting from being added into the archives, that argument holds less water. She sounds genuinely remorseful for what happened. Not a hint of her usually haughty or condescending tone anywhere. She did ask it not be brought up to the media, but that was after already agreeing to not only get rid of the bad actors but also help Anne’s mom *of her own free will*. She didn’t even sound upset when rupee gave her one condition, she just agreed in shame. Syuen has definitely done a lot of terrible things, but I still believe not only can she be fixed, but she WILL be. I’ll do whatever it takes to get her there.
I completely forgot it had no voice acting when it came out... I'm so used to things like OVERZONE and Red Ash coming out already voice acted, didn't even consider they would make modifications in the archive.

I appreciate Syuen, narratively. she's got nuance. as a character in this narrative, I can appreciate that she truly cares about her company. someone was taking advantage of her system behind her back, and she annihilated them, because she's very protective of that system, and her darlings. in that, her goals align with ours, because we want to see all Nikkes safe from harm, including hers. I also want Rapi to kick her again, just one more time, please, it'll be so funny
I believe she has a superiority complex because she's very insecure about herself. Although she boasts this "I'm perfect" persona, she gets into a tizzy the moment anything related to her reputation is in danger. So when it all comes crumbling down and she actually feels like she's no longer in control, she's very agreeable and even begging, all to restore the image she built, to mask her fragile ego that's probably been hurt plenty in the past. (Spoilers ahead) Her risking the entire Ark in danger just to get Matis (and subsequently, her company) back in prime fame is inexcusable in under any circumstances but as someone who always put up a front to avoid being seen as an easy target for bullying and harassment, I can understand where she's coming from.
It's a simpleton mindset to keep hating someone despite them doing good deeds, because of an initial impression. People are afraid of changing their opinions in light of new information and insist on doubling down on their blind hatred. You can do a thousand good things, and people will always hate you for doing one bad.

I wasn't able to catch it live but i was definitely looking forward to watching this stream. No matter how many times i see the event story, it always gets me tearing up, more so with the added voices. (even though i know how it ends, it still gets me right in the feels every time.) The first time i saw it, i think it being the third event and the first big one (hub and 2-parter), I had no idea it would hit so hard... like, come on, it's a christmas event. Then there was the waiting for each part to unlock which just dragged out the pain, and i don't think i was even aware of the hard mode epsiodes at the time so i was thinking the part 2 ending was the actual ending.

They already explained NIMPH to you in chapter 9. It was in the last chapter you did with Exia. I guess you might've missed it. I'll give a quick summary Spoilers for people who haven't done ch 9 yet: (not spoilers for Arty) NIMPH stands for Neuro-Implanted-Machines for the Protection of Humans. They serve as a safety net in Nikke's and also as a chain around their necks. It enables a Nikke's brain and memories to be essentially immortal as it backs up memories and all information a nikke has in her brain. If a nikke gets destroyed, as long as her brain is intact you can use the NIMPH to bring her back. It also serves as a way to hold them back since NIMPH is what makes them unable to disobey orders. If the government or a superior tells them to do something (even kill themselves) they have to do it. Since Anne's brain partially merged with her NIMPH some of the memories stored in the NIMPH are now permanently a part of her. This is my favorite event and I've cried to it a few times, so much so that I don't cry at it anymore. Your story somehow made me cry again though. Loved the VOD and I'll try to catch one live :). (Also, yeah doing Anne's bond and Rupee's bond would have helped you understand a lot of the earlier scenes better.) (Also, I'm a firm believer that Christmas Rupee has the best bond story. If you get her later you should read it :))

When I did this event the first time I stopped before Hard mode thinking that was the end and only found out about the epilogue like a month after, having to suffer the heartbreak. Also this event redeemed Syuen for me. A lot of the events are really good.
The whole, which event to do and when to do it, it doesnt really matter. When both overzone ans red ash came out, i was super behind but that didn't make the event less enjoyable. Play them whenever you feel like it. Every event is cannon, we just dont know where most of them take place in the time-line

As someone who has completed all the story, I like watching Nikke story reactions / bond stories / events reactions, and see other people's opinions. *spoiler not spoiler* starting at ch17, it kicks into higher gear becomes "really GOOD" I like people not taking themselves too seriously playing this game and having some fun, especially that jiggle shooting model and you and Annj now are my mainstay V-tuber Nikke creator after i dropped all the older ones i was watching, main reason beign for some reason, 80% of female/female voiced Vtubers seems to always use a very high pitched voice and scream or talk so loudly that it becomes difficult to watch. Oh, btw, i totally am a Syuen enjoyer, her character is very well built and good at what it does.
Despite humans, in particular Syuen, treating nikkes like soulless robots they have human brains and all the emotions and stuff that come with that. The reality of their existence is what causes Mind Switch(going crazy). When a human is turned into a nikke it is also crapshoot how much of their memory from before remains. The mass produced models in particular retain less of their human memory. But anyway, I would suggest looking up a Wiki or watching a video explaining the world building of Nikke. A lot of this information is hidden away in random parts. Some in the relics, some in bond stories, some in event stories. Especially when explaining things like NIMPH, Mind Switch, Nikke life, etc. You should at least do Anis' bond story as that is quite a info dump for world building
To be fair, she’s only just beaten chapter 9, so I don’t think she should be looking up stuff just yet. But yeah she should definitely do both Rapi and Anis’s bond stories, as they’re the most worldbuilding early on. Also would recommend she do N102’s now, but it’ll take her time to get to em all.

Red Ash recontextualize stuff that happens in Overzone an kinda ruins the story telling when The vaguely alluded past that's hinted in Overzone is spoiled slightly or even misinterpreted to obfuscate, at the time, future plot points. Yes. Tho still recommend she actually gets to chapter 20 or beyond (even the event itself says it’s related to chapter 22) before she does either. Only exception id make is if 1.5 anni decides to continue the past story, which would mean it’s necessary for context now.

CH9 of the Campaign touches on the subject of NIMPH. But to fully recap: N.I.M.P.H or [Neuro-Implanted Machine for the Protection of Humans], are a substance containing nanomachines injected into the brains of all the NIKKEs in the Ark. Like Syuen said herself in this Event, nobody truly understands how the NIMPH works, or even where it came from... But it's convenient, so who cares? NIMPH can be used to program a NIKKE's brain to prevent her from training her sights on a Human, but they can also record, alter or wipe their memories clean. Basically making and storing digital copies of the NIKKE's "Soul". So if a NIKKE dies a clinical death (like how Rapi got decapitated early on), so long as their brain remains intact, through the NIMPH's database you can resurrect her with all her memories up to the moment of death. So in a sense, the NIMPH is also what makes NIKKEs nigh-immortal.

I like people not taking themselves too seriously playing this game and having some fun, especially that jiggle shooting model and you and Annj now are my mainstay V-tuber Nikke creator after i dropped all the older ones i was watching, main reason beign for some reason, 80% of female/female voiced Vtubers seems to always use a very high pitched voice and scream or talk so loudly that it becomes difficult to watch.
Oh, btw, i totally am a Syuen enjoyer, her character is very well built and good at what it does.
Despite humans, in particular Syuen, treating nikkes like soulless robots they have human brains and all the emotions and stuff that come with that. The reality of their existence is what causes Mind Switch(going crazy). When a human is turned into a nikke it is also crapshoot how much of their memory from before remains. The mass produced models in particular retain less of their human memory. But anyway, I would suggest looking up a Wiki or watching a video explaining the world building of Nikke. A lot of this information is hidden away in random parts. Some in the relics, some in bond stories, some in event stories. Especially when explaining things like NIMPH, Mind Switch, Nikke life, etc.
You should at least do Anis' bond story as that is quite a info dump for world building
To be fair, she’s only just beaten chapter 9, so I don’t think she should be looking up stuff just yet. But yeah she should definitely do both Rapi and Anis’s bond stories, as they’re the most worldbuilding early on. Also would recommend she do N102’s now, but it’ll take her time to get to em all.

28:35 do Overzone before RedAsh as it was released first. Red Ash recontextualize stuff that happens in Overzone an kinda ruins the story telling when The vaguely alluded past that's hinted in Overzone is spoiled slightly or even misinterpreted to obfuscate, at the time, future plot points.

Yes. Tho still recommend she actually gets to chapter 20 or beyond (even the event itself says it’s related to chapter 22) before she does either. Only exception id make is if 1.5 anni decides to continue the past story, which would mean it’s necessary for context now.

CH9 of the Campaign touches on the subject of NIMPH.
But to fully recap:
N.I.M.P.H or [Neuro-Implanted Machine for the Protection of Humans], are a substance containing nanomachines injected into the brains of all the NIKKEs in the Ark.
Like Syuen said herself in this Event, nobody truly understands how the NIMPH works, or even where it came from... But it's convenient, so who cares?
NIMPH can be used to program a NIKKE's brain to prevent her from training her sights on a Human, but they can also record, alter or wipe their memories clean. Basically making and storing digital copies of the NIKKE's "Soul".
So if a NIKKE dies a clinical death (like how Rapi got decapitated early on), so long as their brain remains intact, through the NIMPH's database you can resurrect her with all her memories up to the moment of death.
So in a sense, the NIMPH is also what makes NIKKEs nigh-immortal.
As if this event wasnt sad enough. When annes memory Resets her name changes back to N102 ;-;
