Im excited for new content and new ideas, I plan to play in a lot more tournaments including multiple day events. GoodGood Golf is in the process of a lot of new and exciting things. 7 months later and he's shelving this driver more than the last lol. Idk about this stripeshow dude to be honest.
This dude knows what he's talking about, super impressive. Seemed like the golf tec video they gave very little options and basically saw low spin and big numbers and called it a day. This feels much more like am on the course driver build.

I think he could have done more with that TSI3 though. Maybe go up in loft, and turn it down a bit to open up the clubface. They could put the weight in the toe. SIM2 doesn't have that adjustable weight, so it reduces options moving forward.

@@scotchbingeington6885 I was thinking the same thing. After the first two, I was screaming in my head "Give that man some more loft!" I did the exact same in my TS3. 10.5 set at 9.75 with the weight in toe. Given that Micah played the M2 for so long, I'm not surprised he went back to SIM2.

@@dericmcclellan6125 Such a naive comment can only come from someone with no clue what they’re talking about. TXG is one of the top fitters in NA and has ranked second in NA. They’re far above the level of any fitter Micah has been too before. Watch some of their videos on TH-cam then come back and change your comment.
@@reganjsc I love the txg group on TH-cam and watch all their videos, and maybe as a collaboration it would be cool for them to fit Micah, but it also naive to think that the fitters that Micah have worked with aren’t almost if not at the same level of fitting. If it was so important every player would only go to the number one fitter in NA, but in hindsight there is only a certain level any golfer at any level needs and I’d say any fitter with the right tools will do the same job as the TXG group as long as they know what they are talking about.

Micah, great video! We are glad you are getting fit again since your swing has changed a bit (faster) and some new equipment has launched since we saw you. One of the biggest benefits of a fitting is that you can make sure your current set is right for you. Things change- swing, shaft technology, and new equipment launches so a fitting is a great investment to ensure you currently have the right clubs. Get professionally fit, don’t buy off the rack!
Would be super interesting to see a head to head between your new Sim2 and your old M2 in that shaft 🔥
Not a fair comparison unless they adjusted the swing weight of the M2 to match the shorter shaft

Bro they barely even use shot tracers. I love their content but shot tracers are the gold standard for TH-cam golf and these guys rarely use them

Wasn't surprised that the tour x flex shaft fit you better @ 128 mph clubhead speed.
Standard X flex is for 110-120.
When you trimmed the M2 down to 42" if it was a standard X flex, it probably was closer to 2X after trimming.
I personally do think your hooks are coming from your clubface being closed at the top of your backswing, if you look at the ones you hit here........
Look @ 3:22 of this video, that's the position you want the clubface in at the top, it matches your the angle of your left arm perfectly. Tiny draw right next to the target line.
The next ball hit @ 3:25, the face is pointed several degrees more to the sky, or in a more closed position, and it hooks.
Your coil is great, and so is your release, I wouldn't change a thing with that, the only thing I'd do different, is have the toe of the club pointing straight up 1/2 way back in your backswing, and you'll consistently get the club in the position it was @ 3:22.

Getting fitted right now. We’re not done yet but we’re narrowing in. Right now we’re in a ping 425 w tensei orange shaft at 45.5in. Lost a bit of distance from my gamer M6 but the dispersion is fantastic. Missed one fairway yesterday
I just recently started using the sim2. MAN WHAT A DRIVER! That's saying alot from me too, I've never been a fan of taylormade. I've always thought it was just way over hyped equipment, but that sim2 is just flat out AWSOME! You will definitely enjoy it.

You should have tried those shafts in your Mizuno and see what the results were.
I play a speeder tr 661 in tx flex in a ping g410 lst. Love it. I have a lower ball / swing speed than you, but it's so good. So hard to find good technical information on this shaft, no one talks about this shaft. Its qual. Good look with the new club.

Going to a none franchised golf shop and getting fit with a legit fitter, who will spend the time, is the route to go.

The problem I initially had with Mizuno was their drivers have a black face that blends in with the crown and makes it harder to feel where the face is. Notice how when he put the white tape on you found it better. The M2 (and other TMs) have a distinct face difference. You should know that goes away, but it takes a little time of getting used to the Mizuno. Its likely a visual thing. And also a guy with your speed playing an off the shelf stock shaft could have inconsistencies with where the clubface is.
I personally think you should have just gotten the 1K tour version of the same shaft you had. And maybe shortened it to match closer with the M2.
Can you do a video about your workouts/how you get some much club head speed and ball speed?
You’ve done so many golf videos but can you please do a workout vid. Would love to know if you do a PPL split (like myself) or if yours is different and how often you train core, how you train core, how often you stretch and what stretches you do etc etc

Man you hit that thing a country mile. Pound for pound you might be one of the longest golfers I’ve seen. How do you get that speed? Incredible.
My son is 5'10" 143 lbs and averages 305 yds. regularly hits them 330-350, even hit one 400 and two 375.

Missed this originally. That was surprisingly fun to watch! Maybe could have edited down the long swing sequence. After seeing you take the driver back in play and some rounds dominate with it it's fun to see the process. Like he said, you're too good for the driver not to work!

When you go get fit you'll be surprised when you only change the shaft and all of the sudden magic happens. You just need a fitter that will keep searching and trying other stuff to truly let the best combo emerge in the data. Jake is the man!

have the same setup but was gaming the 661 last year in the SIM and changed to the Ventus Black Velo 6X for the SIM2
I’m sure there was more to the process, but it seems like there was an opportunity to dial in the Cobra. 5-7 more mph ball speed is no joke and adjustments to the weight ports and hosel should’ve dialed out that left side miss.
His misses are more controlled by the twist face in taylormade. That’s the real reason he’s more confident with them
The rad and Taylor Made were honestly so close, I just felt more confident standing out the Taylor Made and I did the rad
@@bbandy8705 Cobra has had their version of twist face for a decade. I’m not sure that was the factor...that said, the most important ‘fitting’ element is confidence. Clearly, the TM was it for Micah.
@@bbandy8705 All these new modern drivers are super forgiving. Twist Face is just a marketing term. I'd say the familiarity to his M2 played a big role and rightfully so. Confidence over the club you're about to swing can't be understated.

Thata boy!!! SIM2 and SIM2 MAX are by far the best heads in my opinion. I am still gaming the SIM, but I am almost to the point of putting the SIM2 in the bag.

If you were so consistent with the M2 and it was 41.5", that length is literally the reason why. That's a HUGE difference from even 44.5". Should try putting a Sim 2 or Sim head on that old short shaft. Already has the same adapter. See how that compares to this build at 44.5".

@@michaelc8638 Just a few bad shots will mess up the grouping with X driver, maybe that was the better driver and he just swung the club differently for X number of reasons. Seems like they're just throwing darts and seeing what sticks that day, come back tomorrow and do a blind test and see how differently the results come out. His swing speed was 122-128 mph club head, so who knows, but that varied a lot and it's kinda silly to be making snap decisions. If the 41" driver worked so well it must have been a very light head weight with the short shaft even though the head weights were up on all these.... the extra head weight will increase the MOI/impact power transfer and make the ball go further too. Those clubs had a lot of tape on em.

I have bought calloway drivers for years and most recent the new calloway epic speed LD I spent $650 on at sellingers but I switched to a sim2 8 degree n hit multiple balls over 400 yds while playing since June
Speeder tr was an interesting shaft, it very anti hook. I loved it in a cobra f9

Nobody ever talks about the mizuno. I’ve been running an off brand driver since high school, and would never hit anything straight and if I did, it only went about 250 with roll.
I finally bought a brand new driver, went with Mizuno after years of supporting mizuno in baseball. I consistently carry the ball 285 and about it rolls to about the 315 mark all the time. If I BOMB it, it’s actually flying 310 before it drops. I love this driver and I never wanna let it go
I have the Rad Speed X Red and white R Flex 60 Gram Fujikura shaft
Micah a little tip for you if you are fitting inside on a simulator, it won’t be as good as getting fitted outside where the readings will be way more accurate.
I’ve been fit many times. Just got a whole set of forged tec irons and a rad speed driver. Not even fit, and I don’t think I’ve ever had a better feel for clubs. Cobra is onto something

15:50 Can't help but think these numbers are somewhat gobbly-goop and subject to some standard deviation based on the accuracy of measurement. When talking about 300 rpm in ball speed rotation can we really be certain that this just isn't a measurement difference in the devices doing the measuring?

It’s frustrating when people comment that shorter clubs are wrong. You said 41.5 M2 and you got the comment of oh that’s to short but you smoked that M2. I play a 43 inch driver and iron that are 1 inch short. Play what’s best for you and keep it up.
Still swing my cobra F9 and my 2016 Taylormade M2. Couldn’t be happier with them!

I don't know if it's the conditions but that monitor seems off, you were averaging like 127 clubhead and 184 ball speed only carrying it 300 at times. Seems like it should be going longer
