At 23, she was awarded the title Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) by the Queen of England for her contributions to music and charity. That is why after her name comes the initials MBE, much like Rod Stewart, who was awarded the title Commander of the Order of the British Empire, is addressed properly as Sir Rod Stewart, CBE. If I remember correctly, she has about nine albums to her credit. The Stradivarius violin she plays with does NOT belong to her. It was lent to her by a former President of Bank of America (Europe), named Jonathan Moulds after watching her in one of her many European solo concerts. It is a 1717 Stradivarius. She is truly adorable, simple, and down to earth, meaning not snobbish. She loves children and she has been going around many schools in many countries, trying to introduce classical music to the young.
Agree. Rod Stewart is one of the truly great performers. He is versatile too, and even is able to sing Christmas carols really well. He was knighted by the Duke of Cambridge at Buckingham Palace and was honoured in the Queen's birthday honours list in recognition of his services to music and charity. The formal way to address him is Sir Roderick David "Rod" Stewart, CBE, or Commander of the Order of the British Empire.
