let me explain what calibration means (with an exemple), you see what's a piston and how it works? imagine instead on having 2 stated it had a big amount (four exemple: half pushed...), now your construction needs the piston to start on a precise state but it's not on the right one, well the machine breaks, so you're going to calibrate the machine for your piston to be on the exact (or almost) state you need it to be (yes I could have used an exemple using multiple piston like the diamond miner (wich also seems to use stuff like minecart pos) but I'm dumb :3)
