You do realize that Itachi was 13 right? Danzo manipulated him by saying this was the only way to save Sasuke. It doesn’t mean what Itachi did was right, but you have the mental capacity to understand the complexity of the situation right? I mean he died at 21 he was still young. Itachi had his flaws but he did truly love Sasuke more than anything. You completely ignored the part where Itachi calls himself a failure and says maybe there was another way to go about everything.
For example, if you have a descendant family and want to carry out a coup against your country and other countries will take advantage of the opportunity to attack your country which is currently in chaos, what will you do?
If Itachi had let the coup happen then the Leaf would have been destroyed in a Shinobi World War, the various clans would have taken sides and fought against each other and then wouldn’t have been able to stop another village from invading. Itachi killed a hundred people so tens of thousands could survive, it is the correct choice from a logical point of view. Your duty as Shinobi of a hidden village is more important than your duty to your clan, even Itachi’s father told him how he was proud of his conviction and character…
