    Hi martyn
    The 6 million dollar man springs to mind with this rebuild... .. Like your thinking with the Ar620... At the HK price that's why I brought 2 of each. HK are notorious for NEVER having spares or there on back order apart from that if you built a bird from spares it would cost a fortune.... So good move on your part with the hurricane...
    Good luck with the build
    Brian

      Hi Brian - the 6 million dollar man was the theme I used for the T28 Trojan repair LOL (I seem to be doing a lot of Repairs these days but only one was my fault) Honest gov.....Yep I think we and a lot of other people know how bad Hobby King are at getting spare parts in for the Aircraft they sell... its a shame really - I think it was best put to me as having a love hate relation ship with them.. the good think with these 750mm warbirds is that quite a lot is interchangeable between aircraft types.... Looking forward to your corsair maiden videos - I know you will have more luck that I did - I mean of all the things a wire burning out !!! DOH !!!!! Stay well .. Martyn

      @@FlankerTanker you were a victim of circumstance.... You ordered the right wire but were sold a pup... Hope my maidens go OK... Definitely going to offer a multon Mowbray poke pie n pickles to the gods as an offering before takeoff...
      Stay lucky

    The Corsair will rise from the foamy ashes! Looking forward to the re-maiden, Martyn.
    I had a not dissimilar problem... the Hurricane is my favourite from this range and I bought the Mustang for Hubster for Christmas 2020. I figured that both would fly similarly, so I bought another Hurricane to protect the first one with the aim to get Hubster flying and learning on this 2nd Hurri first (he *loves* the Mustang & would be peed-off if he smooshed it up). It's the backup Hurri that's flown in my vid. After a (in?)glorious maiden, it flew well until I hit the ground on flight 5 (which will be in my end of year Bash Reel). Here's the nub: I broke one prop blade only, but I also broke the prop hub. Disaster!!! My Tempest and Hubster's unflown Mustang couldn't donate prop parts as they're 4-bladers. Bugger :o( So I bought a spare Corsair, hoping the hub was the same. Hurrah!! So I have 2 spare blades and a correct hub with 3 blades on. I also bought two Master Airscrew 3-blade 8x6 props which have gone onto both Corsairs.
    If only Hobbyking would SUPPORT THEIR PRODUCTS AND CUSTOMERS, this wouldn't be the giant PITA that it is. I sort of have a Love/Hate relationship with HK...

      Gina, it might not look nice anymore but it will fly (I hope) LOL - I completely understand the Love Hate relationship with Hobby King as I also have the same typo of relationship with them - I just cannot help myself when it come to buying from them but like you knowing that the spares situation is going to be - I tend to double up .... and yes you need to know which aircraft can provide what spares that will work ...

    that's why in my rc I put xt30 connectors, they are small and impossible to connect wrongly.

      @FlankerTanker  ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolut agree - I have replaced all of these with XT30's this Video is quite old and I have in fact sold most of my smaller 800mm Aircraft - just kept a few of the FMS ones and use a JST to XT30 converter for those.

    Ola Amigo las Antenas de los Receptores que van por fuera o por dentro del Avión???

    • @FlankerTanker
      @FlankerTanker  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yo uso un Reciever sin antena - el problema fue que el plomo de la batería se quemó porque era muy delgado - vengo de china..

    Does the nose coon also comes from the Hurricane? Or was that not broken.
    I broke a prop and the nose during my maiden takeoff, (i havent been in the air..) I can find the prop but the nose-coon is another story. Still no spares at HK.

    how did you remove the fuselage and cowling? Just cut it?

    • @FlankerTanker
      @FlankerTanker  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the wings unscrew from the fuselage - the cowling is just a strip of foam glued to the nose it can be gently peeled away...

    Shame about the corsair..How did you get the cowl off? I need to get access in there as i lost some weights in the cowl shaking around lol.

    • @FlankerTanker
      @FlankerTanker  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I didn't - the cowl flaps came off with a very sharp hobby know and slowly peeling them away - as for the Cowl itself its is all part of the body - so I split the fuse in half from the front to the cockpit.. again taking my time...

    Hi Franker, do you know if we can use dual blade for this plane ? witch size ? thanks

    • @FlankerTanker
      @FlankerTanker  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can - measure the size of a single blade then add half an inch that is because a three bladed prop is 1inch in diameter smaller than a two blade one , that is the size you would need - also it will need work to ensure it mounts correctly, New spinner or prop adaptor will be needed - I have no idea regarding pitch - sorry , but I am sure there are videos on TH-cam about this.

    • @doand1257
      @doand1257 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@FlankerTanker Thank you Franker, the original 3 blades size is 8x6x3, i think two blades are 9x6 (pitch is same)
