I have the book of candle magic and its amazing. I couldn't believe just how much infirmation it contained. I'm used to buying these types of books that just contain little info and alot of spells. This book really brings home the information.
Of Blood and Bone is a phenomenal book. I’ve been practicing for 22 years, am a huge reader, and yet this book had information in it I’d never read before. I was shocked at how much I loved it. It changed the way I practice witchcraft. Cannot recommend this book enough.
I have been looking into ancestor worship for some time and have never really found anything helpful for someone who knows almost nothing about their ancestry, thank you so much for the recommendation of Honouring Your Ancestors, it covers that exact problem quite helpfully and answers so many other questions I had. I dont have anyone that can teach me about this sort of thing so I'm so glad I managed to get hold of a copy. Bought a PDF copy yesterday and oh my gosh, I couldnt stop reading, I'm already nearly finished. Thanks again xox
I am here for a revamped edition of recommendations!!! So many books come out,so many different books read, etc. Thank you for the updated list. I for one sincerely appreciate it ❤ Videos are great, per usual, right? Many blessings to you 💕
I was so happy to see Braiding Sweetgrass on this list. I listened to it in 2020 and it changed my entire worldview and is definitely one of the reasons I feel comfortable dipping my toes into witchcraft.
Thanks for sharing this video with us Frankie! I haven't watched the first video yet, but you mentioned that there was an herbalism book that you had included in that list but took it out of this one because it was problematic. If you felt comfortable doing so, do you think you could do a video going over such books so that we could have a reference as to which ones to avoid or if you feel like it still has good information, we would be aware of them being problematic before reading them? If you feel like that wouldn't be a video you wouldn't be comfortable doing no worries. I can't wait to read your book when it comes out in April. Already have it pre-ordered.
YEEES finally someone who loves Plant Witchery as much as I do! I never see this book anywhere but it's soooo good! It's my go to book if I need to know more about a specific plant
I would love more book recommendations from you!! It’s funny, I remember you mentioning Braiding Sweetgrass before and I had put it on my to-read list. Cut to this week when I’m with extended family and my little cousin (who’s technically 24 lol) is reading this book!! 🤣 she’s definitely not a witch but it was interesting for me to see that and then for you to talk about it again in this video! 😆
Hi Frankie! I just want to thank you for making all of this information accessible for beginners and other more experience practitioners. It's amazing to see all the people you've helped through your platform. I've been following you for a year, around the time you made the channel introduction and I'm so happy I found your channel because the content you make is incredible and provides a solid, bullshit free, base for novice witches to start off. I wish you the best in your new projects, and in your path, thank you for all you do. Happy holidays!!!
I'm just beginning my witchcraft and paganism journey, and the best way I learn is through lecture and reading so right now I'm building my to buy and to be read list. So thank you for the book recommendations and explaining the basic ideas behind all of them!
For future book recommendations, it would help me a lot if you held up the book to the camera so I can see the title and author, or have a card up on screen. I have a hard time picking out the title in the middle of a sentence. Thanks!
What was the problematic herbal book? I’m looking at buying a bunch of witchy books and I don’t want to get it by accident (I like having multiple books on the same topic, that’s why I ask instead of just getting Plant Witchery and being done with it)
i started my journey through tarot cards and i'm so ready for the next part of journey to be researching and learning through books thank you for helping
The book "A Discovery of Witches" that I know is a fiction book series. It's not a book of information. It has a show on TV as well. Unless there's another "A Discovery of Witches" book that I don't know about.

Id greatly appreciate your guys help, because a lot of the books I found are kinda hit-or-miss sadly.

I got it a couple months ago but returned it (along with two others, for similar reasonings). I liked Temperance on TH-cam before, but her book made me really uncomfortable. She basically says that pharmaceutical medicine can dull your natural magick/magickal connection to nature (when she discusses her history of being on BC), denies humans' effects on climate change, and there is at least one section that is very trans-exclusionary (when she says women menstruate and men don't). I'm a non-binary person that unfortunately does, but I am close to many people who would be affected and hurt by these statements. It's hard in general to find good witchy books that are trans-inclusive, but I digress.
@@bojii2939 It's ok, I almost missed it too! After I received it in the mail, I got the strangest vibe just from holding it. I decided to double-check reviews for some reason, and I was gobsmacked. I've gotten some likes/notifications about this comment I left recently, so I wanted to come back and note some things. First of all, I still love Frankie's content (as of writing this comment). Seeing as they're also non-binary, I know they will at least understand my POV even if they disagree with it (which I expect that they will, since they're closer to TA than I initially realized), and they won't condescend to me or take it personally. I plan to check out Frankie's book as soon as I can. Unfortunately, however, the bristly and dismissive response I got to the same question (recently) from another creator (on their own book recommendation video) left me with a lot of fear and apprehension about bringing up this topic to anyone else in TA's circle. So, to be honest, I don't really want a response anymore, and I won't be asking the initial question I left to anyone else unless they are or can be unbiased. I'm leaving this comment up, however, so that others who might be negatively affected by the book (and TA's incredibly condescending attitude toward those who merely disagree with her book's content) will know what to expect ahead of time. They can make their own decisions about whether or not to purchase/read it at that point.
