Usually in Michigan there’s never a second chance at a mature buck, but you should be able to look back now and review your strategies good and bad…good luck in the future 🎯🦌👍

Found you guys through the WCB podcast. Subscribed full time after watching this episode. Crazy story would be a crazy understatement. The toughness of these awesome animals never ceases to amaze me. As unfortunate as this situation is, there is nothing exact or guaranteed outcomes in this sport. Sometimes all you can do is tip your cap to the animal, wish him the best of luck to survive and keep pushing forward with the hopes of another encounter some day. This is truly a story of perseverance and mental fortitude and as a viewer who is also passionate about hunting these animals, I appreciate you guys publishing the raw reality of this when you could have very easily and very conveniently hit the delete button. Keep up the good work guys!

I was able to get updates from Nick through out the chase of this deer and im glad he finally got to lay his hands on that buck and close the chapter. Always sad to find them that way but atleast you know how it eneded. Congrats Nick!

He definitely left us scratching our heads. It’s tough to say that a mechanical would have helped or not. My luck if I had a mechanical I would have hit shoulder or something. Just never know for certain how things will play out until they do
That’s a nice 135-138 inch 10 man! One of the weirdest situations I’ve seen. Can’t imagine that archery shot not being lethal! Crazy. Looks a lot like my Ohio archery buck this year!
Congrats on finding that beautiful buck. They are tough animals. Over the years, I’ve found that a so so cornering away shot is consistently more lethal than a near perfect quartering two shot. I’ve killed 60 deer in the last 5 years and every recovery on a quartering to was problematic. Congrats on that 140s class deer! Display him with great pride.
