This man is a living Legend...arguably the Greatest talent to ever come from Zimbabwe (or maybe even Africa🤔) !!
We miss you Majaivana, ❤
I really can not believe that this documentary is sitting at over 31 000 views, when I
Made this I thought only 100 people would watch this.
Huge Thanks to everyone who continues to share this documentary.
Good work brother
It's now 22 000 views
It should be far much more. Lovemore was/is a true music legend. Although i was very young growing up in mufakose i remember Magee blasting it out at Garden Party (GP)in kambuzuma before 1980
Can I share this to my Facebook page and give you credit??
Hello Dizzy Dee my email is pridebonganincube@gmail.com... let's discuss terms there.
Mdara airova ma number uyu. Learnt Ndebele listening to his songs. Living legend!
Are you fluent?
I grew up listening to Majee's music, it brings good old memories. Sad to learn that he had quit due to poor support.
Zimbabwe’s unsung hero. Respect to you Majii. 💯👊🏽
We need the LAST DANCE from the legend!
Our Legend ,long live Majaivana
Just came across this, I'm really touched, my heart aching at the same time for this musical legend. A true musical giant whose music career suffered tribal differences.
Lovemore majaivana's music goes beyond tribal lines, I was born and bred in Harare but even today when I listen to umoya wami, It takes me close to the city of kings. I hope and pray that we will be able to live together as Zimbabweans one day not as shonas and Ndebeles.
This interview was emotional, Would love to him perform one day 🙌🏾🙌🏾
I'm 24 but I feel like I was there back in the day I love his music ❤ it touch my soul he woke and spiritual.
Awu bantu siyabonga for the documentary. Just one show nathi sikubone, we where kids then manje sesikhulile and we play your songs none stops.
Say that again
I love him because of my late father 😭😭😭
My father used to play Lovemore majaivana's music and it made wanna grow up so fast .
majaivana's music was very iconic I was introduced to his music through my father as well.
seems as if every family had his music , we shud sue the record company for they ddnt pay him well but his shows n albums were sold out
Watching this made me miss my hometown koBulawayo. Lovemore Majaivana is our living legend...
This is great, forever a legend to all of us!!!!
Just one last show Majiii e BF siyamncenga 😭😭
One last show plizzzz
Shuwa we need it
He is bitter doesn't want anything to do with music
@@bereassad6778 ahh wena hlonipha 'bitter'🤔
If he does i ll fly down 🤞
Majee phenduka we need u some of us were young wen u bid farewell now we relate to ur songs, those close to him pliz lisincengele aphenduke. We miss u lovemore just make one appearance kodwa lokhu
Living Legend. Hopefully one day he graces us with one show. It would definitely be a sold out concert.
What a legend. Very soulful sounds.
I love Majaivana. He is one person who inspired me to learn Isindebele, I really wanted to connect the beautiful instrument with the meaning of the lyrics, can do basic conversation now. One of the greatest musicians of our time!
Makaidzidza sei? Ndirikudakuidzidzawo
Oww mhennn Golide, the ‘Ngingu Golide mina sengisiya emazweni’😢😢😢😢 thank you Tshuma
So Majaivana left music because of tribes? He mentions at the end in an older interview that he didn’t see any musician making it in Zimbabwe.
I think MaGee gave up in the late 90s just when he should have stuck it out like Tuku did. I also think he had no idea how his music was popular with Shona speakers then and today. Someone must actually inform him that if he were to return for shows in Zimbabwe tomorrow he will sing to sellout crowds both In Matebeleland and Mashonaland and collect a ton of cash . We think he deserves a monument. as long as people know he is still alive they will always have you on their minds but the man is “hiding”.
I grew up in a Harare township. Lovemore Majaivana was loved as much as Thomas Mapfumo and Tuku. My Mother loved Majaivana and bought all his music even though she wasn't a Ndebele speaker. Harare loved Majaivana
I think he needs to be told cause he was definitely loved by the Shona speakers.
Couldn't have said it any better. I grew up in Harare & everyone in my family used to love his music.
Indeed he was/is loved! I grew up in Harare and my pops though he was NDEBELE and mum Shona! But we could be listening to his songs zvakadaro and other households too! Too bad there was no internet yekuti munhu azive kuti vanhu vanonakirwa
The man is hiding for sure....how I wish to shake his hands
This was long overdue, thanks dwag👏
"Im a gold,lm going back overseas,lm a gold, you will look for me and you will never find me" wooow
A true legend ...his music always makes Bulawayo home,...
Zimbabwe what happened to you my lovely country😭😭😭😭😭😭
We are divided
@@kwanelemswelanto you can say that again
True 🤞
Its greed, the fact that they want S*** to be the the only recognized language in Zim s disgusting.some Countries are so proud to have over 500 different languages but Zim🤔
This is good it filled the blanks which were missing this should have been aired live last week at that Bulawayo Arts Festival 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I know they should have played him.
How i wish 1day we will sing this song 🙏
his music touched the the spirit
Happy birthday Majee. Ngikhumbula eMarisha ulaboRivonia Khumalo

I hardly speak Ndebele. But in our house my father had probably all Majaivana's LPs. Remains one of my favourite Zimbabwe musicians. Thank you for the music Majii
Hi Chishamiso, I know of a person collecting Zimbabwean LP vinyls and plays decent money for each LP. As long the LP is in good condition.
Please email moyoss1981@gmail.com.
Good luck, hope your dad still has them.
@@groovesneedles5444 . Yes. They are his gold. They are not for sale. But thank you very much
Chishamiso Mungoshi thank you ma’am. Do you know of households that have LPs records that they don’t want anymore
@@groovesneedles5444 Will tell others. If I hear of anyone interested will provide them this link
Majaivana resonates so much with Bulawayo,'KoNtuthu ziyathunqa’…his music & brand so unique & extraordinarily powerful ❤❤❤!

Nam 😭😭😭
Majaivana l know kawungazi kodwa ngahlangana lawe eGwanda endlini yomzawami owayezalwa komaNyathi njengawe.Abantu bakoMthwakazi bayakudinga, ake ubenzele iShow eyokucina ubavalelise,koBulawayo,eJohannesburg kanye lalapha eNgilandi.I am man of God also njengawe.Arrange with a few guitarists that know how to play your songs, then at the end of all your shows, share the word of God with your audience.l am very certain that the turn out of people who will come to see you will surprise you. Please,do this without fail, you will never know how many people will give their lives to Christ before you conclude your shows.
You never know, but there are many ways of sharing the gospel kkk.
I think he has been mature not to use is natural talents to lure people into the kingdom and then blur the lines that occur when money is mixed with ministry.
I personally think Lovemore Majaivana gave up easily. I remember he held a show in Harare backed by the Black Spirits at the 7 Arts Theatre.
If he had continued working like that things could have turned out differently.
He was very talented and played quality music.
Well, I respect the decision he made because nobody knows better what he was going through except himself.
I agree with you. Though I couldn't understandod the language but still loved his songs until today
I don’t understand why you would throw away such a talent away,
Certainly one of the Greats of the Zim music scene. It was alway a happy experience at the studio during his recording sessions and I never understood why his music didn’t sell more than it did. Sorry to see him leave music but I do hope he is leading a happy life these days.
Living legend.your music will live forever.give us one more album legend
Lovemore he's a true legend ♥️♥️♥️
Thank you man for this. Very refreshing
Thank you very much for this doccie!❤️❤️❤️
He is my best of the best, although, iam from manically, heavy, heavy mkoma magee, you remind me of my late mother, I can play your music throughout the whole day, thank you so much...

What a LIVING LEGEND.
I play his music in my car.
I still listen to his music.
I LOVE YOUR MUSIC.
❤
Did you know that he did a lot for the ANC?
Hi Jenthro Chimanga
Thank you so much. I’m glad you loved my attempt at telling Majaivana’s story. In my research I did find a few mentions that spoke about his work with the ANC but I didn’t get enough information.
So the siblings are stil here in zim?
# lizongidinga lingiswele,sengibuyel'emazweni😢😢
Siyakukhumbula Golide hopefully koluny’ usuku uzojika ko Bulawayo uzosibusisa ngomculo wakho omnandi.
UMajeee bakithi, siyakukh
umbula😢😢
Just one last show MaJee u won't regret it I assure you 😪❤️
This is lit🔥🔥
I really understand clearly his reason for quitting music, finances and segregation.
Surely yes, it can be frustrating and withdrawing.
But i loved majiis songs though i am shona and could not well understand ndebele.
Shalom
uM'zwangendaba an artist par excellence.
masterpiece
Long live majaivana
Just cried😭😭😭😭
Legend legend he is timeless
Im from Botswana 🇧🇼 having schooled in Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 i got to know about Majayivana through other students at the hostels playing music on our walkmans, one day we got caught and we were flogged by the boarding master but it was worthy it though 😂😂😂
The greatest maGeeee our hero
Such a great artist robbed ( by? you all know) of an opportunity to excel globally. He is such a real legend from Mthwakazi. HE EXCELLED AND CONTINUES TO EXCEL IN OUR HEARTS. ASK MABALEKA TO CONVIENCE HIM TO DO ANOTHER ONE. SO SAD UYAZI
Pity also his audience in 🇿🇼 was smaller due to the language... Otherwise had it not been the apartheid era he could have reached wider Greater audience in SA....and made loads of money.... He is a legend
Eish. Wadabuka umoya wami...
Majaivana a legend 💪🏾👌🏽💯
The songs which ma mum used to play when she used to wrk at tshabalala beer garden staying at tshabalala flats
😭😭 woza uzonandisa majee thin sibe singekho ngalezo skhathi
