  • Hi, Welcome to our 3rd vlog!
    Today, we are going to make photocards at home using Canon PIXMA G3020 printer and laminate them using Quaff A3 Laminator. This is Part 1, wherein we apply a cold laminating film.
    Part 2 (Vlog#4) is about laminating photos using the hot setting on the machine. The film that we are going to use is thicker and more durable than the cold laminating film. Video will be out very soon so please follow our FB page for updates: / glitternight.artsandcr...
    We definitely had fun making these! Share your thoughts in the comments section below. ☺️

    Hii! I use the same 250 GSM glossy paper. But my photocards take alot of time to dry. When I touch its like my photocard hasn't dried yet. How much did it take for your photocards to dry? Please let me know soon 😊

    Hello, I don't have the machine for cold lemineson ... Is there any other alternative for making the card glossy?

    • @glitternight8365
      @glitternight8365  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi, you can still put a glossy cold laminating film even without a machine. Peel off the film and manually stick it to your photo. Do it slowly to avoid bubbles. 😊

    Are u using photo top glossy? Why’s mine have scratches after laminating it? The scratches is visible huhuhu

    • @glitternight8365
      @glitternight8365  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, yes glossy cold laminating film. Not sure though why yours came out with scratches. Check if your machine has dirt inside, or try using other brands and types of films and see which one gives the best result. 😊

    is a laminating machine really required? or can you do it manually?

    • @glitternight8365
      @glitternight8365  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Not really, especially for private use. The cold film is just like a transparent sticker so you can apply it by hand. Be careful not to get bubbles though. If you run a business or if the film requires heat then it's better to use a laminator because it distributes heat and pressure evenly and saves you a lot of time. 😊

    Hi did the photocard hardened after we laminate it?

    • @glitternight8365
      @glitternight8365  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi, yes! It becomes a little harder/thicker than paper alone but if you want more durability, use a hot laminating film with 125/250 microns.😊

    is it possible to apply laminating film on the back as well through cold lamination? or will the front be damaged if i flip the piece over and just redo the lamination at the back?

    • @glitternight8365
      @glitternight8365  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, it works even on a double sided photo paper but make sure you let your prints fully dry and cut any excess film before laminating the back portion so it won't stick to the rollers. 😊

    My problem is it slightly curls after I laminate the card (even using cold laminating photo top). 🥺

    • @glitternight8365
      @glitternight8365  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi, what gsm are you using? Cold laminating film is thick so use a thicker/heavier paper and cardstock. You can also apply a smooth film on your photo using the hot setting of your laminator. It is thinner than a cold film but still provides the same level of protection from scratches & water. We use them to coat 220gsm/250gsm photo and business card papers and they never curl. 🙂
