This is most beautiful piece of pottery I have seen being made by hand. Thank you for sharing your talented work. I hope to see some more of your work. Great job 👍
Thank you so very much. Your work is beautiful and you are so generous for freely sharing. You are a blessing and an inspiration and I am truly grateful 🙏🏽
I am amazed by your craft. What is that saggar made of? Clay again? If i supply that kind of container, can i do this type of firing in my electric kiln my home studio? Can i put other works into the kiln with the saggar and fire all at the same time?
Thank you very much for watching. Saggars are made from a raw material called grog. However, saggars can also be made from regular clay and can be used in an electric kiln.Of course, they can also be fired together with other pieces.
Thank you for watching my video. I do it in one day until I start the drying process. And I spend at least one week for drying. Thank you from far away Germany ❤
Thank you ❤
Hello, yes very simple form and beautiful piece. But 2 questions. 1- When you say fire to 1230° do you put the saggar in a kiln? You can't fire just where the saggar is in the video, just on the table? Question2- Doesn't the pot come out all black and you have to wash off the black to see the real result?
Thank you for watching. Answer 1: This piece was fired in a kiln; the high temperature of 1230 degrees can only be achieved in a kiln. Answer 2: The color of this piece was created naturally. The black part is carbonized and cannot be washed away with water. The fire and the rice husks gave the color naturally.
@@JapanGoldenPotteryEijiKumamoto My pleasure!I watched almost all of your vids and like that you manage to keep a rather fresh approach to pottery. You've been a source of Inspiration and I'm grateful for that. Keep doing what you do,very best regards,Gerd
Thank you for watching the video. The wood I used is thin plywood. You can also use thin plastic boards. In that case, you have to use newspaper or something to keep the clay from sticking to the board.
Thank you very much for watching. I did not do any biscuit firing this time. The reason is.... In the case of carbonization, biscuit firing is not necessary because no glaze is applied. Also, the patterns look better when biscuit firing is not done.

wunderschön, sehr gut dargestellt

I love this video! Could you give me an idea of what kind of flexible wood you used as the rounded base?
Thank you for watching the video. The wood I used is thin plywood. You can also use thin plastic boards. In that case, you have to use newspaper or something to keep the clay from sticking to the board.

Gracias por ver el vídeo. Me alegro de que lo hayas disfrutado.
