Disagree, I don't think music or animation has anything to do with an MMO doing well or not. Lore even is not required to make an MMO good either. Gameplay and world building is the most important.
I usually agree with your takes, but this one I'm going to wholeheartedly disagree with. Good storylines is what makes a singleplayer game great, where you can interact with and change story elements and characters around you. What makes a great MMO is either great gameplay mechanics for PvP or PvE, with a rich and immersive world as a bonus. Wow didn't become the biggest MMO of all time by having a good story - no one cared about that. They loved the enthralling worldbuilding and gameplay. Then it stayed relevant for soon two decades by having great PvE mechanics. Star wars Kotor was a great singleplayer game because of story and characters, but when they tried to focus an MMO around it in ToR it mostly failed. A singleplayer game can be carried by a great story alone, an MMO cannot. On the topic of music, Riot hasn't exactly made music to get you immersed into the game world, they've made music to sell skins and skinlines, plain and simple. Quite effectively, mind you, but it's not to deepen the lore or love of the game mostly, it's to sell skins. Most of said music will be unusable in the MMO because you cannot exactly mix Pentakill, KDA and Rap music in a fantasy style MMO. I'm not personally going to be playing the MMO since I'm not too fond of League's style now a days, but if you want to play it and hope it's good, don't overhype it. Overhype and setting too high expectations is what killed New World, which was one of the biggest releases and crashes in MMO history. If you want riots MMO to succeed you have to give it space. And don't expect a masterpiece.
have to disagree HARD. MMOS live and die because of their community. some of the most popluar mmos have shit gameplay and/or graphics. just look at WoW. Most important thing is how social it is.

this is something they fear deeply
they have to do dailies right

then they have to do update cadance right
league has a bi-weekly update cadance and people get tired of the meta literally 3 days in
so when you consider all that it means that the hype of the game may be the thing that makes it fail
because everything already setup prior is amazing
because there is such a high hype behind it
it is 100% bound to not meet expectations of the masses
in contrast look at song of nunu

make it like gacha game, all the characters are unlockable with gacha based
Game went in the dumpster when they started turning the game into a “safe-space” where you can’t yell at your teammates when they’re obviously doing horrible or playing their role completely wrong. There are also way to many “im here to have fun not win” type players in ranked now compared to 4 years ago.. its sad what they’ve done to the game other than re vamping graphics/ gameplay mechanic fixes
I dream of riot mmo
Disagree, I don't think music or animation has anything to do with an MMO doing well or not. Lore even is not required to make an MMO good either. Gameplay and world building is the most important.
Its gonna fail, simple as that, i don't think ive seen more then maybe 5% succeed and even then, the ones that did are on their last legs
they dont make mmo because it would kill their qeue times in league
I dunno, I think the mmo genre is dead, it’s a risky genre
it could fail if the combat system is really bad.
Until they make it gacha
have to disagree HARD. MMOS live and die because of their community. some of the most popluar mmos have shit gameplay and/or graphics. just look at WoW. Most important thing is how social it is.
Riot could release a giant stinky turd and make billions off it.
What MMO needs more than anything is community. And Riots community is propably as bad as it can get
