  • Hi Guys,
In this tutorial I will show you how to create a hammered wire pendant using glass crystals and cubic zirconia. I will show you how to create and form the base shape, create a prong setting and secure your stones as well as show you how to finish your piece.
EDIT: a very helpful subscriber has just drawn my attention to the fact that some clips were swapped around in the video. at around 25:35 I am working on the bail. In this clip the bail appears to have already been shaped. This clip was accidentally switched with the next clip, where I explain the process of forming the bail. I can't change the video, unfortunately, so I am trying to explain it here as best as I can. Sorry if this confuses anybody!!

Nadja, this is one of my favorites of your work! Very pretty. I will be working this up for sure.... LOVE IT! In case you didn't pick up on it, you got the clips for the bail backward. The shaping of the bail wires is playing after the wrapping of the bail wire tails around the circle. Starting at 25:34 it shows you bringing the tail wires through the circle to the front, and at 26:36 it shows you actually bending the wire with 6-step pliers to make the bail. I've never posted or edited a video, so I don't know much about it, but I thought someone should let you know. Thank you for sharing your ingenious works with the world! Love Edinburgh too!

Ah thank you so much!! The software I use has clips lined up in succession but can be moved when dragging them. I think I accidentally swapped places for those two clips! Thanks for drawing my attention to that, I will insert a note on the video to make people aware. ❤❤

The wires from the prong setting were used to attach it to the frame. x

You know I joined your group on Facebook and I posted a couple of things in the beginning and they posted it. The last three times I've tried to post and they refuse my post saying that I'm advertising or selling and I am not doing any of these things. Just things I'm working on. So I quit trying. I don't know what to do to convince them. Maybe you could tell what I need to do.

Hi Tammie, so sorry this is happening! I have had to put some restrictions in place for accounts created within the last 24 months due to spam posts and this was the only way to keep a lid on things! Please message me in the group when you are trying to post if this happens again. I am do apologise!!
