  • A few lovely days on campsite with some beautiful weather and strolls and scooter rides on the sea front. Good times in the bar too where we find our very own dog. Squeezing it into Mazzys handbag proved to be harder than we thought it would be though.

There's a fabulous sight in Albir near Benidorm. Orange Grove. Probably not far enough south as still Valencia Region. It's a walk to the sea front, but a lovely little town and bus in to Benidorm.

We love Calpe Benidorms quieter cousin. Just down the coast from Benidorm. It’s got good dining supermarkets, old town new town lovely prom definitely worth a visit. We stay at camping astral or something like that Also nice in that area is xalo they have an aire at the end of the village a huge Saturday market bodegas menu of the day etc and a chance to visit other villages through the orange groves on the bikes / scooters.

A prune is a plum and a date comes from the date palm. Prunes soaked in port for a week or so make wonderful puddings - and while you are in Spain you should be checking out the port! Love the wee dog! Keep up the great blogs!

Hello to you lovely pair hope your enjoying your holiday just a quick comment as I'm still watching this vid as catching up you were saying about finding campsites for Christmas well I always use a website called pitch up it's mainly based for UK but if you type in Spain on there website in the search it brings them up and you can do loads of filtering to your taste and then will just bring up what you want weather there is any I don't know but it's worth a look as I use it all the time and shows you pictures tells you everything in the area etc hope this helps love from us all

Camping valencia looks good. We were supposed to go there on our way down. Put in sat nav and off we went. Few wrongs turn so a but frazzled when we arrived. Paid for two days upfront and guided to site. Set up and took dog for walk to see whats what. Mentioned to hubby they must have been very old photos you showed me cause looks nothing like it. Turns out we were in camping pucol which is next door. I couldn't put face on me to ask for refund cause in wrong place so stayed put. Was fine but loads of permanent caravan structures if you could call them that. Agree with you in that nothing about. We did cycle to next marina town which was lovely although very little open. Hope you're next site has more on offer :)

Re: Birthday/Christmas places to stay. We winter in Spain every year in our truck camper (we are currently a little bit north of you in Benicarlo) we’ve booked a villa (with a pool) for the Christmas week, £35 a night on AirBNB in Altea, I would avoid getting an apartment due to problematic parking but a villa should give you better parking options. There’s a micro climate in the Altea/Benidorm areas which usually gives temperatures similar to being on the southern Costa del sol at this time of year, also Mojacar has a great winter climate with the bonus of guaranteed danish bacon in the supermarkets. PS: when you get to Benidorm be sure to go for fish n chips at Rays Chip Shop/Restaurant just behind the main parade - you will not be disappointed.

Hi Dan, Mazzy. Enjoying following your adventurous trip, Spain is great. Valencia Zoo is wonderful, and the Oceanografic sea life center is supposed to be fantastic too. Weve often used pubic transport down there and have always found it easy to use, efficient, reliable and cheap!! certainly better than the UK, but even taxis are reasonable out there.
if you get as far down as Estepona, there is a lovely site on the beach front, not sure if too far out of town though ?.
re the Prune question. (cheated, so used Google, haha) Dates and prunes are usually consumed in their dried form and look similar. However, they are two completely different species of fruit, and each has its own specific properties: Taste: Dates are the sweeter of the two fruits.
    Keep up the great Vlogs

You must have enjoyed meeting up and having a drink with some other English people. I loved the beach with the row of palm trees along the promenade. I always love being near the sea, I think is very relaxing and the sound of the waves is pleasant. Mind how you go on the scooter,Dan. The last thing you want over there is another injury! I can see that you were very tempted to do a bit of dog napping! That was a lovely dog though. Thanks for the vlog and please keep them coming.Bye.✋

Dan and Maz. Christmas is Fab In Benidorm. Everything is open and you can stay as long as you need. Camipng Raco is ideally situated for a 20 min walk to the front. You will not find campsites situated on a beach front in Benidorm. Regarding Ferry back mid January. From The Costa del Sol, its a four day drive of around 300 miles per day back to Calais. Take into consideration the probable crap weather and it will be a miserable experience. Stopping and stretching the drive home again is a waste of time. Its the Winter and everywhere is just miserable wet and cold once you head North in France. Just do the Spain to Portsmouth 24 hrs .

Can't believe your not far from were i was born in Tarragona just looked on the map, were i was actually brought up in comaruga until i was 6 yrs old,my mum always tells me i used to wander off on my own as a toddler to the beach with her guard dog,he'd pull me away from the sea edge if i got to close, surprised I'm still here 🤣🤣 but the beach is lovely it's alittle town not much there but is cute, enjoy, you both look so happy in Spain 🇪🇸 xx p.s in comaruga there is a pool type thing with fish etc in apparently its the sea water not sure how true it is but is beautiful xx
