Rode to Sturgis with my dad for the first time for the 75th in 2015. I turned 28 while we was on our trip. Ive been on many bike trips since then, but haven’t with my dad on a big trip since 2015. Next year we are riding out for the 85th. My dad is still riding his 2010 Street glide with 150k miles on it, and I’ll be on my new 2022 road glide. I’m stoked and can’t wait. Hope to see you guys in 2025. Have a good time, and I look forward to watching your journey.
This is awesome! I have taken my 2005 Dyna to Sturgis multiple times. Of course, we only rode from Colorado and twice from Oregon. My wife was tired of using UPS to send things back, so now we take Street Glide with our trailer. Have fun and stay safe!
Listening, I'm simular in packing my Dyna FXDX with detachable sport windshield. I'd like to tell you story about my Dyna an it's windshield. I get white flash in my gelmet, I look toward Hoods Canal Washington State. I see bald eagle forming up on my windshield. I time him with formotion handlebar clock for just under 4 minutes, 3" from my left hand windsurfing. His mate was 1"-2" off his left wingtip. I was honored to ride with matched pair here in Washington State. You should ride out West!
Watching this Monday the day before y’all head out is sick! I feel that excitement! Hope one day I get to ride there with my boys too! Ride safe fellas!
My dad, buddy and our wife’s just rode to Milwaukee from Ohio it was 6 1/2 hours and 414 miles we did it on our 23/20/14 street glides also I did it with a herniated disc in my back it was a nice ride but had to make multiple stops there and back unfortunately but really great time
Lance, just got a 2024 RG CVO ST in Raven Black, waiting on my Trashin 9.5" pull back risers, spent over 6K so shout out to Trashin 🤣🤣🤣. Went all out on Trashin chrome parts. Something different this time. I have always blacked out all of my bikes...⚡⚡⚡LOVE TRASHIN⚡⚡⚡
Just rolled into Spearfish after leaving Salinas, California to Williams, to Durango, to Rawlins. 117 on Thursday from Needles to Kingman and thunderstorms into Williams. Outran thunderstorm from Devil’s Tower to Spearfish on Wyoming 24. Deadwood tomorrow.
That’s awesome. Can’t wait for the Vlogs. I’ve noticed on a lot of different biker channels. Everyone uses street guide, road glide or the dyna’s how come no one uses the road king
I think they're going to do that Sport Glide justice down the road.... they'll build it into something great without the rushed time frame they had for Sturgis.
@@BrandonDale-ye1xh he had great intentions for sure and that was super cool of him but it was a gift… doesn’t mean he gets to control what Cole does with it from now on or what he gets to ride from now on? The idea of using a gift in a certain way to please the person who gifted it is a strange idea. I remember wanting to sell something we never used and my wife goes… well my mom gave that to us I better ask her first. Just a strange mentality. 🤷♂️
Randy knew there was a possibility we wouldn't take it to Sturgis! We still talk to him and have a bunch of plans for the bike after we get back from Sturgis!
Yes, same here! I started watching their videos around this time last year. I don't even ride anymore but I still love and respect motorcycles and the guys who ride them. Safe travelsThrashin!!
I heard about the compressor, but a very small tire plug kit will bail you out if you pick up a nail, screw, or something that punctures a tubeless tire. The plug kit is vital for a flat.
Please post your route for us, there are so many ways up there and you guys have a lot of experience getting there. Just like to see which way I may consider riding for next year
These Sturgis road trip vlogs are awesome. I don't own a Harley. I ride a Triumph Street Triple. But one day I'll get a Harley and when I do I will be kitting it out with Trashin' parts.
The way I do it is lesser used tools in my right bag (jump starter, air compressor, clear visor and one special bolt for the rear master cylinder) and other tools in my left bag. Full set of metric and standard Allen keys, every wrench needed for a clutch adjustment, some crimp electrical connectors with heat shrink and a lighter and probably some other random wrenches. Always have a quarter for my seat screw and a nickel for proper clutch cable free play.
I remember when I first got my Street glide and we rode to Virginia City from Santa Clarita and I had my long sleeves on but my sleeve was pulled back slightly on my throttle hand and let me tell you when I got home 4 days later that thing was burnt to a crisp. Have fun be safe
Hey thanks for sharing your journey to Sturgis. Your arm sleeve is it uv protected? Your gas bottle where'd you get it ? It's a one gallon bottle? Y'all be safe, "THRASIN SUPPLY ROCKS" 🤘
Will you have tools to fix a flat? I use a small powerbank in the chest pocket to charge the gopro on the fly, no need to change batteries during the whole day.
Love the vids. I have a 05 super glide and I got Harley Davidson hard mount backs with and was wondering if I put them on does it delete the turn signals or is there special mount?? Love all the dynas and I absolutely love mine!!!
Saw you guys in Daytona at the Harley Demo. Hope to see you in Sturgis come say hi at the Convention center at he Harley Demo. Will be there working. Be safe guys
U should sell gass cans with a funnel that fits inside it for easy poor like a regular gas can Thrashin arm sleeves Would be cool to Also if u have the link to the aircompressor/jumper in 1 that would be cool lookin for one
Young minded "bragging rites"... but what a pain in the ass to make dynas into "touring bikes" and still have an uncomfortable ride for thousands of miles.😵💫 Touring bikes are called "touring" for a reason. 🤠✌️
Yeah, we spent days prepping our bikes, days on route, etc... my biker mom would be asking, when are you boys finding time yoo work? It was my mom that got us into riding, not dad. Dad like dirt ao we bought him a honda Elsinore. He looked like Steve McQueen!
I rode to Sturgis in 2017. While at Black Hills HD, as I was throwing my leg over the bike, my foot slipped under the floor board causing me to lose balance. I was like a one legged man in an ass kicking contest! I fell backwards and in the process, broke my foot under the bike and broke my hand while trying to catch myself!!!! It was a shitty 1200 mile flight back home!!! I think I'm due for a redemption tour... Maybe 2025 is the year I conquer Sturgis, lol

Praying for a safe trip ❤
Praying to whom?🤔

Man I hope the guy that gave Cole a Sport Glide to ride to Sturgis on doesn't watch this episode 😂
I think they're going to do that Sport Glide justice down the road.... they'll build it into something great without the rushed time frame they had for Sturgis.
@@JasonRidesmotoHe's just saying. The ole man gave him a road ready bike specifically for him to have a ride to Sturgis.
@BrandonDale-ye1xh Yes, you are correct...he's looking forward to seeing his gift on the trips vlogs.

Safe trip and enjoy the adventure!! 🏁🏍️🏁
I’m with Cole on the lean and having the stuff you want to access more often in that bag
Looking forward to the vlogs. I have swapped Cardo's with my wife so I could ride with it charging since the cable wouldn't reach her as a passenger.
The Sturgis vlogs are what go me hooked on the channel and then getting the handle set up. Safe travels.

Looking so forward to these vlogs guys. Most of all Safe travels. Peace ✌.
Laidlaw HD had a hot weather ride and used the “Kool-Vest”. Looks like a game changer for the unprepared.
It will rain here, at least one day if not more. There have been lots of evening thunder storms and even hail. Can't wait to see you boys in Sturgis!
I heard about the compressor, but a very small tire plug kit will bail you out if you pick up a nail, screw, or something that punctures a tubeless tire. The plug kit is vital for a flat.
Enjoy the content. Ride safe
