Bro holy shit, had my watch for 2 years---paid for cellular access the entire time but was too dumb to fix it. You got me right within 30 seconds. Have my sub king
Haha I had the same thing with 5G on my phone so I get it! Thanks a lot I hope I can live up to your expectations! Coming out with an Oura Ring vs Ultrahuman Ring video soon 🫡
Was having issues getting my new watch connected to cellular. Turning Bluetooth and WiFi off on both devices . Turning on cellular . Worked for me ! Been searching all day. Thank you ❤
Bluetooth doesn’t have to be turned off on the watch. Initially when i watched this video i thought that Bluetooth had to be off on the watch to connect to cellular and thats why TH-cam videos like “watch only without phone” are always speaking through the Apple Watch speaker. But thats not the case. You can indeed have AirPods in, listening to Spotify/Music and receive a call while your phone isn’t nearby. It just takes a while for the watch to find the network because it’s trying every other option to connect to your phone in order to conserve battery life. Just be patient when your iPhone is in Airplane Mode and the Watch Wifi OFF. It will connect. *another thing to note (at least in Canada): Your plan needs to be a SHAREABLE plan. If it is not, the watch wont connect to your network. Infinite Shareable plans cost more than non-shareable. So it’s $15 + plus the cellular version of the device + shareable plan. The monthly costs add up quick. - And the watch cellular only works in Canada. When I travel it wont connect to other service providers towers.
Not the phone, everything should be turned off on the watch besides the cellular and should be disconnected. If you don’t do it this way then the WiFi on the watch could turn back on
Hello, I have to push the airplane mode in, then I get 4G connection. But when I go to walk and leave the phone on with connection the watch don’t have 4G. So I have first to push airplane mode before to go out. Is this normal? Great vid!!
Thanks for the compliment! Bottom line is that when your watch is connected to your phone via Bluetooth or to WiFi when you’re at home, it won’t activate 4G. When you turn airplane mode on it turns those off usually. So to ensure that the 4G works make sure your phone isn’t connected via Bluetooth or WiFi and then the 4G will turn on. I hope that helps!
Hi, thanks for the video, I will check. What I am confused about is my 7 was working great and a few months ago, no longer, issue after issue. My whatsapp and calls etc were all good. No constantly working and then not. Paired at least 7 times at my cellular provider. If i start over your way, will whatsapp also work as before or only calls and text messages?
Aw man I’m sorry to hear that. Things like that happen all the time with tech after a while. Unfortunately I don’t have much experience with WhatsApp and least of all on Apple Watch. I’m sure you could’ve tried this with your provider but try backing up your watch and resetting it. Give it a fresh install. Sometimes things like that work..
Hi , i hope if u could help me to make a cellular work on a apple watch serie 4 that i strigle with , i ve followed all the steps on the video but i the 4G foesnt turn on it self .
The model needs to be a cellular watch model. Check the digital crown on your watch, if there's a red circle in the center of it then it can work and what you need to do at that point is make sure the watch is paired with an eSIM.
Hmmm.. I’d say, make sure iMessage is turned on in the watch settings and set to the correct number and that cellular is connected. Restarting the watch as well, turning off the WiFi and Bluetooth in settings as well to ensure it’s not interfering. Also remember that the messages arrive at a delay, not much more than 1 minute max, just like how calls incoming are slightly delayed something to keep in mind. Those are the tips I usually run through to get it working
I was hoping this would fix it but it didn’t I did every step even when I turned bluetooth off it was still connected but it say plan no sim and status not connected but for the first fcouple of months it was perfectly fine I hope you can help me
You need to repair your IMEI to your data plan. Go to your providers store or call in, give them your imei for that watch line and follow their steps. You should be good.
I believe you would be able to do that. It would get tedious though. To use your phone’s line on your watch you’d have to connect it via Bluetooth and once you do that the cellular for the watch goes off because it’s connected to a phone with cellular. So to then use your watch line again you’d need to disconnect Bluetooth from your watch and phone. It can be done but it’s not pretty lol
Hello. I can receive calls and make calls with cellular on. But unable to receive and send texts. I’ve spent about 3 hours with my carrier customer service and no one knows what’s going on. Please help me
I have exactly the same problem Series 9 and iPhone 11 Pro I can receive and send calls but no messaging (neither WhatsApp, iMessages or Even! Sent as Text Message) I’ve unpaired re-paired , and tried all the tricks mentioned and no joy ☹️… did you ever find a solution?
Sometimes it takes a few cycles for it to work right. Make sure the watch was paired correctly and the Cellular plan activated. If you’re sure on that then do this. Make sure you have the WiFi and Bluetooth off in your watch settings. Then navigate to your watch Home Screen (aka your clock, check the time lol). Once you’re there, swipe up (or down depending on your watch OS version), and tap the cellular icon that’s most likely greyed out. After you do that, you should make sure the cellular data switch is on and you should see your watch saying connecting eventually it’ll connect. As soon as that happens you can go back to your watch face again and swipe to the control panel to see that the greyed cellular icon to be green on LTE/4G. Say it isn’t, repeat that cycle a couple times and it should eventually connect if all is right as I said in the beginning of this comment. Let me know what happens!
That’s normal. It’s not lightning fast because it’s forwarding the message to your watch from your phone’s number. If you’re not convinced you can restart both devices, it could make a difference.
Wow, having to set it up with a different Apple ID makes me want to return it. I got mine as a second apple watch and chose a standalone plan because my main watch is already connected via Number share. Having a different Apple ID means none of stuff will be synched. That is trash.
@@kato3000 Hmm it's tough. I would maybe try communicated with Apple too. Keep me posted because this is the extent of my knowledge with this and unfortunately it's very nuanced.
Then I’m sorry to say, you have the Bluetooth model- not the cellular one. There’s two models, a Bluetooth and Cellular version both with their respective purpose. I linked the cellular model in the description if you want one
When using standalone it limits you unfortunately. I hear someone say they were going to sign in with their main Apple ID attempting to avoid this issue. If I remember correctly, and this was a while ago now, it didn’t work out. But, it’s always worth a try to keep the health functions. You’d most likely need to redo everything if you go try to make that route work though.
That means that your IMEI isn't paired to a watch data line/plan. Call (or go in-store) your phone provider and tell them you need to pair an IMEI to your watch line. You can find your IMEI in your watch's settings. Let me know if that works!
Do you have a watch?
Yes I do have a watch
The only video on the entire internet that actually helped me set up my new watch. Thank you from the bottom of my heart bro.
You're welcome bro. Glad I could help!

I thought I was the only one doing the same 😂

After I’ve managed to set the cellular service on my series 9 ..do I turn the WiFi and Bluetooth back on?
No you wouldn’t turn it back on if you only want to use cellular on your watch.
So can I just select data when setting it up without the iPhone
No you have to have a phone to setup any watch
My watch disconnected from the phone and it will make phone calls but it will not send or receive messages. Any tips?

It was saying it’s not available in my country
Sorry not sure if I can help that..
I tried on both my phone and watch separately and it’s still not connecting.

If I did stand alone mode (family share) would my number on my apple watch change?
If you did standalone you’d have a new number unless you got your carrier to convert a number that you wanted to use to the standalone line.
Thank you!
I have added a new Apple ID, but I am still getting no connection for Cellular
Are you trying to get a standalone number separate from your main phone or pair it to your main phone number?
My Apple Watch is a series ten and I don’t see the cellular white icon
Man I can’t keep mine connected to cellular…it’s frustrating
You could have a non-cellular model
Same model?
I did the steps and it still appears gray.
Question,, how come when I get a text on my iPhone ,, I don’t get it right away on my Apple Watch Ultra 1st Gen ?
That’s normal. It’s not lightning fast because it’s forwarding the message to your watch from your phone’s number.
If you’re not convinced you can restart both devices, it could make a difference.

Thanks!

Well don’t look at me I’m just the messenger 😭 complain to Apple maybe there’s a better method that’s all I got

Hi I try everything what you said and still not working
Hmmm.. which carrier, what phone, what watch, and any other details you got for me. This video sums up about 90% of my experience but maybe I can help
Apple Watch Ultra 2 and iPhone 15 pro max can I have message error 106 all the time
Were you able to fix it?
The cellular option is not available for me
Then I’m sorry to say, you have the Bluetooth model- not the cellular one.

It didn’t work on mine can you please help me didn’t work and I tried very hard
Your watch Maybe the Non Cellular one
This could be true as well
Then what do I do
@@OptionsFinest what do I do then

Has anyone successfully hacked the apple watch so it will work on unsupported countries?
Family sharing is a bad idea all the health functions quit working and a few other things also.

It didn’t work and I did the exact same steps
It could be that the eSIM isn’t paired to the IMEI of the watch. Check with your carrier.
My iwatch says “no sim”!!!
That means that your IMEI isn't paired to a watch data line/plan. Call (or go in-store) your phone provider and tell them you need to pair an IMEI to your watch line. You can find your IMEI in your watch's settings. Let me know if that works!
@@OptionsFinest
Do you know is this only works with ESim provider? Do the watch needs eSIM? Thanks for your answer.
@CoolGabor Yes, your watch for it to work requires a Data line eSIM.
