I would like to know what you think about the new name, StellaVita, for the Astrostation. I liked the old name more and it will always stay the Astrostation for me. What do you think how Touptek did on the first version of the Sky Atlas. I like it a lot. Sure some functionalities like rotation are missing but for a first version and pre-release it is very good. They are also still in the phase of learning.

Hallo! Vielen Dank für das Lob! Freut mich sehr, dass meine Videos über das Gerät bei einigen gut ankommen. Ich weiß ich stehe noch sehr am Anfang mit TH-cam Videos und muss noch viel lernen. Ich gebe mir aber Mühe es jedesmal etwas besser zu machen. Diese Übersetzungsfunktion sehe ich beim hochladen. Ich muss mich da mal reinarbeiten wie das funktioniert. Das Video mit dem Umbau des Lüfters wollte ich damit übersetzen, aber YT hat da jede Menge Zeug gefragt was ich nicht wusste. In der Analyse sehe ich jedoch, dass meine Videos per automatischer Übersetzung in bestimmt 20 Sprachen übersetzt wurden. Wie man das als Zuseher macht habe ich allerdings keine Ahnung. Ich schaue es mir beim nächste Upload noch mal an um direkt zusätzlich eine deutsche Version zu machen.
Martin, can you please let us know what APP version and Core Version you now have. I just got my AS (SV) and spent a while updating it. It was not intuitive at all. Once I got the wifi bridge sorted out, it was easier. This is where I am now with respect to versions. APP: v1.0.18.20241213, Core: v1.1.11, SDK: v27.1119 20241201, Indi: v2.1.1, ZWO SDK: v1.37, QHY SDK: v24.10.30
Hi Charlie (?)! One Core Update has been a bit odd using an aspkg file on the SD card or USB drive. The rest went flawless for me. I just saw that it installed every evolution step individually but that never caused any issue. The app still needs to be updated manually but this will change with the global release as far as I know. Meaning that it is going to update automatically than via the relevant app store. I am running the following versions. App: v1.0.21.20250103 Core: v1.1.11 SDK: v57.27119.20241201 Indi: v2.1.1 ZWO SDK: v1.1.11 QHY SDK: v24.10.30 This app version seems to auto connect to StallaVita in case the WIFI Bridge is stet up. Just now I turned the device on and the green indicator was directly show. Very cool as my ask to rename the name for the handshake, query the network to find the IP of StellaVita and auto connect was quietly implemented too. 😄 Meaning that youmdo not have to type the IP anymore into Connect to IP.👍🏻
Thankk you very much for your comment. It helps a lot! Themdevice is running on Indi, well discovered. Touptek is activly contributing to Indi and Indigo. StellarMate was the first gadget to run on Indi next to normal Linux distributions as far as I know. But there is no cooperation between Touptek and StellarMate. Jaseem who runs StellarMate is one of the masterminds behind Indi. Touptek licenced Indi it in a good manner for commercial usage.
I am also happy that Touptek uses Indi under the given license requirements. This supports Touptek's reputation. I also heard the rumors that ZWO does not do this but I would not like to comment the one or the other way on rumors. The license owners need to make it up for themselves. I am happy that there will be an alternative to the AsiAir that also supports all my other cameras, focusers, etc.👍🏻

War wohl wieder ein gewievter Marketingmanager am Werk. Ich halte die Namensänderung für kontraproduktiv. Mit der ersten Version des Sky Atlas bin ich zufrieden. Der ist noch nicht fertig und wird noch verfeinert. Sobald die Kameradrehung drin ist kann man damit super arbeiten. Das Video ist echt nur Quick & Dirty. Mir ist 4 mal die Bildschirmaufnahme des Tablet abgestürzt, dass ich schon signifikant genervt war. 😂 Sonst ist die 20 Minuten gerannt ohne Probleme zu machen. Heute mal nach einer, nach drei oder mal nach 6 bis 7 Minuten einfach abgeraucht. Im Video auch, deshalb der Schnitt am Ende, weil ich keine Lust hatte noch mal von vorne anzufangen. 😇
Sorry, this version is not even handed to other testers. I just got it because my contact is one of the main responsible project persons. The app is not even uploaded to the space where other testers get it from as the app version is still work in progress and not in the state of circulation for testers.

Is there any cooperation with StellarMate? That might explain the name… under the hood it seams to have the same base anyways by using Indi/ekos.

I know most likely the weather isn't helpful but I'd relly like it if you did a field test instead of in your room
