How a politician was so passionate and displayed a deep knowledge of sports, is surprising. His commitment to sports was evident. He also clearly knew his numbers.
So moving is the fact that when asked, he clearly articulated by tying his dreams and hopes to that of Nigeria's.
Another surprise was his understanding of his geography- being able to name those several places in transit while in some other nations. One could tell that this was a man who knew and was prepared for his tasks. No wonder he was great. He did say though, he'd hoped Nigeria will honour him one day, as he'd already gotten the global recognition. Today, we honour him as the father of modern democracy in Nigeria. Oh, what a man!

Wow......such a great man at deed and heart. I am not surprised he was and is very wealthy. Wisdom and Wealth walks together.

I just found a new appreciation for this man. He was ahead of his time. I do hope the Nigeria he dreamed of becomes a reality

What a wonderful and lovely 🌹 leader we could have had!!! He was not insulting the journalists or talking down 👇 on them. He is aware, intelligent and updated. I can say categorically that it will be difficult to get back to this stage as a Nation. Peter Obi was the closest to this but we all know how it ended and how he was robbed.

Nigeria could've been a world power by now and at the forefront of Africa if Abiola wasn't assasinated. Rest In peace MKO Abiola. Legend ❤

Had Buhari not won in 2015, you would've said same for him. Abiola was part of the Nigerian problem. The system he helped create destroyed him

This man is the most Nigerian I’ve ever seen. Tell me a state in Nigeria that never benefitted from his wealth. My late dad even told me he donated #1m to every university in Nigeria. That’s like donating #1billion now…

From what i can make out, Nigeria changed drastically when this man died and the return to democracy was spearheaded by someone else.
