Great video, I appreciated the humor just as much as hearing about the history of The Hulk ride. I rode Hulk both pre and post re-track. I don't have specifics honestly, I just remember back when I rode it in 2008 I was excited to ride it but walked away kinda thinking it was rough and jerky. Fast forward to last year when I rode it again and I was expecting another dud ride and I ended up being really shocked at how good it was. Definitely an improvement.
I rode it right before the closure and right after. It was rough ish, but still a B and M, not worse than Kumba. After the retracking, it was better for sure, but not so much better. It was specially better at the first corkscrew
I have a feeling you never rode Hulk when it was brand new in 1999 cause youre saying the rebuilt Hulk is smooth but for whatever reason the rebuilt Hulk has never been as smooth as when the original was built in 1999.Ive been riding that coaster since 1999 with my first visit to IOA a week after it opened.I have no clue about the design or engineering of the ride but all I know is even though they just built a clone of the original it wasn't perfect like it was 25 years ago.

Interesting, I usually only grey/ black out only on the initial roll, but only when it's sunny and I burn my retinas so idfk.
