This version really captures the colossal size that the Stone Tower is suppose to have.

You know, when I hear this, I think of the Hero of Time. Perhaps one of Zelda's most influential characters, half the lore ties to him in one way or another, the other half is affected by his actions. Yet, despite this, he is still an obscure Link. Many place Twilight Link or Wind Waker Link above him. Yet, I favor him above the others. This theme reflects his struggles in my opinion, how he travels, in search of the only companion he ever had, Navi. Helping the weak along his way.
We know the end of his story via Twilight Princess, but what of the middle? At the end of Majora's Mask he is but a child, so what happened to him? What adventures did he do? I wish Nintendo would give him one last hurrah and finish the story of the Hero of Time
Actually I would love to have a trilogy of the Hero of Time like Metroid Prime was for the Metroid series.
Y'know what I think this version fits best with? A flashback sort of thing. Imagine a scene where Igos du Ikana and the rest of Ikana (before the demise of the kingdom) preparing to ascend Stone Tower to stop the curse. Imagine him basically prepared to risk his life to save Ikana Kingdom from the Garo, (who may or may not have helped open Stone Tower, I don't know) and makes the impossible trek up the tower, yet despite his heroism, falls in battle at the hands of the Garo Master, and the rest of his soldiers are slaughtered. However the Garo would realize the curse is not limited to the Ikanians, and are killed by Twinmold or some other force. Anyway, that's just my thoughts, you get the idea.

This right here is what makes the Legend of Zelda series so great. There's no lore-dumping, but there's just enough of a taste of lore that fans can speculate endlessly about the finer points.

I didn't steal anything, the composition of the remix was done by Oath of Obscurity in 2008 as you can see in vgmusic and in the description of this video, i understand that you find confusing because he didn't mention that but it's easy to verify, alternatively, if you are refering to the song itself it's obvious that isn't the same version, so i hope i have cleared up the misunderstanding.
The flute is awesome... :3
But a suggestion here: In the Original (when heard with headphones) the flute-part jingle thing gos from the left to the right speaker and backwards and creates a steroe-like effect which ist very awesome. Would've been great if it were done in this version, too!

This song makes it sound like a Wind temple rather than a dark dreary earth temple
+Ron Burgundy The big thunderous drums in the back make it earthy. but the flute (or possibly ocarina) and chimes or what have you make it sound very windy yes. Just remember that wind is prevalent in rocky hewn canyons.
Keep in mind that the flute was a primary instrument in the original piece, too. STT is more of a wind based temple anyway, with it being high up in the sky and a bunch of the flipped temple's puzzles taking place over trecherous ravines.
I mean, it IS the inverted version, where the temple is in the sky and nothing is below you...

This seems less like the theme of a dungeon and more like the theme of an old knight or swordsman imparting lessons on a younger man.
The original was pretty good, but this version is simply breathtaking.
This is so beautiful to me i remember i got my n64 when i was 3 years old with ocarina of time and remember getting majoras mask on my 4th birthday these games are so special to me and made my childhood amazing. I grew up with nintendo 64

Swamps, Mountians, Coast/sea, the heavens and a demon that lives in a moon. Dang, when i look at it like that this seems like the best game ever, Like this video if you think LoZ MM is a good game (not saying that LoZ OoT was bad)

I like it. This song has a really epic feeling to it, but there's just one part about the song that no one seems to notice and they tend to repeat. Every remix that I've heard so far has had it wrong even. I'm not sure what instrument it is, but it sounds kind of like the (bass clef?) on a piano. The notes actually skip in the original song every few measures instead of repeating the exact same thing.
I don't know why I feel this way, but I think the instruments contrast too much. I was actually going through the Stone Temple as I heard this and thought that it should be a little smoother, although the bold feel makes it fit a little bit.
Something about the MIDI used to make this was very well done.
