  • Thanks to these guys www.laguna.co.uk/ I was able to take the new Speed Triple out for the day, it's a fantastic motorcycle whose 1050cc engine produces 140hp and 112Nm of torque, at 192kg dry weight it is 10kg heavier than my Striple.
I had a brilliant time riding along twisties and the coast which even being shat on by a seagull couldn't spoil

You got hit by bird 5h1t right outside my house on Ferry Road! At least if they're getting you out the front they're not peppering my car out the back. The seagulls round here are dirty bastards. Great first ride.

When I tried one of these I loved it.I used to have a Street triple R and yes your right it is like a pumped up street triple! Wish it came with a Quickshifter and maybe heated grips though! Come on Triumph all the other naked sports do!!

The quickshifter is an option but yeah it should be OEM on a bike like this, Thanks for watching

Completely agree - must've test rode one of these around the same time as this and to say it feels exactly like the Street R with more power is about as big a compliment as I could give it. Do miss my Street R, but think this is the next bike on the cards for me :)

I think they have heated grips as an option too. But yeah, must be oem... For about the same price s1000r comes with everything. Or MT10SP with everything and some more (short of heated grips). I still want to buy this bike though. Something unique about the retro looks and that single sided swingarm. And i'm yet to hear a bad thing about it short of lack of accessories.

Any of you with the 16 speed R notice any rapid vibrations in the bike @ speeds over 115-120? I have on mine and so far dealer said all was in spec with tire balance, steering bearings etc. The dealer cannot ride it at those speeds to duplicate.

It looks like you are quickly in the "I'm losing my licence" speed area. I suggest that you fade out the speedo, you never know who's watching ;)

+Biking, Vaping 'n' Chatting # Being dim isn't really going to stand up in court, just FYI. Is gearing also in km/h? And I suppose the video is sped up, too? Hope plod won't find this video. I'm not being sanctimonious here, I can't say I always stick to the speed limit, but ffs... Blur the bloody speedo.
