L.A softech Bro we had max length 4 feet and we needed to know 1 feet hence we divided it in 4 parts.
A small doubt is in figure it's shown that "the distance 2ft.10inch is shown measured in the figure" For the same problem

I applied this video, but I have a question.
In the textbook that I'm using, Engineering Drawing by N.D. BHATT.
The question states "construct a scale of 1.5 inches = 1 foot to show inches and long enough to measure up to 4 feet". AND NOT "1 foot = 1.5 inches".
now my problem is that despite the difference in how they represent their R.F being "1.5 inches= 1 foot", they got 1/8, the same answer that you got using "1 foot=1.5 inches".
I believe that it isn't meant to be so.
So please, where is tge problem from?

1.5 means 3/2
So 1.5/12=(3/2)/12=3/(2*12)
