Finally, a Li Shuwen run! I was requesting him to be used in most 3 turns runs in other Cernunnos videos, but they either used the most usual picks, which while good, can get really tiring especially if they are so commonly picked.
Although I do wanted him to finish the fight but nevertheless, respect for the elder master for finishing 4 bars.
By the way: Galatea removes debuffs every turn for three whole turns with her third skill. Just sayin’.
Yeah I thought about that when I was theorycrafting my comp but I don't have her so couldn't utilize that.
@@MystFGO Ahh yeah that’s rough and understandable, I use her for a lot of harder boss fights because of her useful skills.
Jeanne and martha cleansing etc.
Summer Raikou also gets debuff cleanse, but like Martha, it's tied to a skill
@@eleosparakhaous that’s not really a good comparison, a 1 time debuff cleanse vs a 3 turn debuff cleanse to the whole party is a lot more useful in this particular situation, so really not a good comparison

Joke aside I don't think this one is the hardest after seeing the gimmicks. Lots of lottery cq battles are more hard and fun same with lb 5.
I meant it as the hardest story fight. I do agree that some event challenge quests are probably tougher, most notably some gilfest ones.

@@nemo3029 demeter is by far easier than cern, just needs some riders, and like reines can solo her, not saying everyone has a reines n all that tho. Cern is by far more unfair

@@maosama3695 well im at endgame and i already have a melt and a fionn who can surprisingly farm well at np 2 ..a lancer wouldnt do me any good ..all i need is a np gain assist caster

Knowing how much you suffered there from RNG, this run was definitely worth it and satisfying!

I barely survived this fight 😭😭 used double Casturia with my grailed Void Shiki, support in the back was Waver, Skadi and Hans. Even then, this fight was so hard! Those curses just...Uuugghhh!

2 years ago I started an account with Heracles and Clay boy (got him on a single) on NA I have since pulled a dupe of him (on a single). He wasn't the best 5* really but he helped me out so much and now he's only a few days away from getting his NP buff I'm so hyped he's gonna be one of the best units in the game!

How good would MHXX be in this fight? Because I have an NP4 copy in NA, and was wondering if it would be good here.
MHXX is a very strong option on this fight due to very good synergy with Castoria, being a Foreigner against a Berserker and having a Threat to Humanity damage modifier.

@@e-tan3911 The difference between NP4 and NP5 is very minimal so I doubt it would make the difference. Skills might be fine at 9s since the fight needs to go fast but if needed, you might wanna go for 10s just for the reduced cooldowns.

Man if myst had the resources for his li. I wouldn't be surprised if a lv 120 li could have killed on that final np. If not maybe the extra damage buff from the append skill lv ups.

Sit tight because this'll be long:
Cernunnos has 1.3M HP across 4 bars and starts with 7 of what are called "Curse Layers". Every Curse Layer gives the boss 10% damage reduction, stackable up to 100%. Every time you attack the boss while it has Curse Layers, ALL of the following will happen:
- Cernunnos sheds 1 Curse Layer and recovers 10,000 HP
- The attacking Servant will be debuffed with DEF Down (3T), Curse (500 HP/turn, 3T), and Delayed Curse (3T, lose 1000 HP at the end of your turn, can proc even after Guts triggers)
As if this wasn't enough, Cernunnos can also replenish his Curse Layers by attacking (each attack has a chance to recover 1 Curse Layer, and he attacks up to 3 times per turn), and also recovers 1 Curse Layer at the end of his turn. He also has a few Skills that consume Curse Layers to use, but will hinder your party in some way. You must also beware of the following Break Bar mechanics:
- 1st Break: Entire party is debuffed with Skill Seal (1T) and NP Seal (1T)
- 2nd Break: Cernunnos gains 5 Curse Layers
- 3rd Break: Cernunnos gains 7 Curse Layers
Because of this, bringing in some type of Debuff Immunity is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for this boss. You will also get a Level 120 Castoria story support to help with debuff cleansing and staying alive through Cernunnos's AOE attacks. Grimm (he looks like Caster Cu, if you remember him) will also act in the background, regularly removing debuffs and/or recovering HP for your party at the end of your turn.
The idea is simple: keep attacking, and don't let your Servants get overwhelmed by debuffs. Ideally you want to use Castoria's NP as much as possible, since it removes debuffs from the party while keeping them safe from the boss's attacks.

Cern has a special curse that ignores van Gogh curse immunity so she can die from it if she absorbs it not to mention the HP drain per every time you attack cern fucks up van Gogh real hard cause she relies on her face cards for dmg
Additionally if I'm correct you can't double skadi this fight so she falls a bit on dmg
You're correct. the only 3 force supports for this fight is Mash, Castoria and Holmes. I wonder if double Mash + a debuff clearer can stall in this though since NPC Mash is NP5
@@naiRISE766 I think stalling would be a bad idea because I think at the last gauge cerns defense will overpower a stall teams dmg and in that case his heal will be higher than the damage your team does
Additionally it requires shit ton of rng especially when it comes to cards and crits not to mention you will require it in huge amounts cause it will take a long time to battle cern

I've done it with her, kinda forgot but I think she can't absorb Cern's curse. So, the only curse u need to pay attention to are the ones you got from attacking him. Need to timed when the right time cleanse the curse. Other than that, she hits pretty hard with her face card, so the 10k HP cure isn't a big problem

His curse is a special curse so her curse immunity doesn't work here not to mentioned everytime you attack him he lowers your max hp.
